"Innovation and fusion just for the sake of it. I don’t get the high ratings at all. I appreciate the effort the chefs have taken to put their own spin on familiar favourites - but they have not seemed to have gotten the balance right. - The Tom Yum mussels were too sweet and tasted more like sweet curry mussels; they lacked tang and any essence of Tom Yum. - The Kailan and Bacon was alright - probably the best dish. But felt a bit greasy. - For the Curry Rice, I think they were too heavy handed on the ?star anise. And the liquorice-like flavor was too overpowering. The curry could also have been less watery. - The Cold Bee Hoon was also quite alright, though I think the bee hoon could have been a bit more al dente; it was really too mushy. I also felt the service was not up to standard. Staff members seemed to avert eye contact and would rather chat amongst themselves. For good local fusion, I’d recommend places like Scaled by Ah Hua Kelong and Naked Finn. 808 Eating House should focus on getting its basics right. We won’t be returning."

"I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, spring rolls, stir-fried bitter gourd with egg and fried tofu in Vietnamese spicy sauce. This is the place to go to get your authentic Vietnamese food fix. As I have travelled to Vietnam before and eaten their cuisines, the taste is as close to the ones over there. Fantastic"

"Chanced upon this restaurant while scouting for new and highly rated eateries on Google Maps. We were surprised by how small it was — about six indoor air‑conditioned seats and roughly fourteen outdoor seats along the walkway. Still, we managed to get an indoor table and were served by a friendly couple who run the entire place themselves. Google reviews recommended the pork knuckles, chicken leg, and potato salad, so we ordered the meat platter set plus an extra potato salad. The dishes did not disappoint and tasted far better than expected. With the cosy space and the warm, service‑oriented couple, the whole experience almost felt like a private dining lunch. Overall, highly recommended."

"First time here. Quite impressed with the food. Moor is a pleasant waiter who gets our order fast. Will definitely come back again to try other food. Had both cold ramen, was so good that I didn’t get to take the photo first before it was gone."

"Food was very yummy and came super fast. Service was very attentive and friendly. Pricing is clear and kept to during billing. What might be telling is that Kanna was so sweet to our kids. Not only did he talk to them (without being intrusive) during our meal, he was generous with sharing more keropok when my son cried because he had his keropok snatched by my daughter. This happened after our meal and was already outside the restaurant. The small things matter. We will definitely be back!"

"Ate here for the first time and I absolutely LOVED their tomato egg! It’s a MUST ORDER if you like tomato egg, super flavourful and you can really taste the rich tomato sauce. Honestly a very well-done dish 👍 The other dishes were good too, skewers were solid, but the ones that really stayed in my mind were tomato egg, bun with condensed milk, was damn crispy on the outside, golden soup with beef, this one really packs a punch, MUST TRY! I think it’s called 黄金肥牛?Overall, really enjoyed the meal and would definitely come back again!"

"I thought my salmon tasted bland, like it was frozen salmon. It was a big piece though. $25.90+service charge. The food presentation is nice although not cheap and to me was ok only. The music & aircon was great."

"We tried this restaurant for the first time and were thoroughly impressed. The food was excellent, and the portions were very generous. The two of us (both ladies) had 2 main courses, 2 sides (papadum and sourdough), and 1 açaí bowl—and we finished it all! All the foods and drinks are good but I need to comment on Creamy Singapore Chili Crab Pasta with you. The pasta itself was delicious - the sauce was rich, creamy, and had a great savory-spicy kick. I enjoyed the flavor and finished the entire pasta dish. However, the crab itself was disappointing. When I got to the body meat, it had a noticeable off smell (near the lung/gill area), so I avoided it and only ate the meat from the legs, which was fine. Luckily, I had mostly finished the tasty pasta by then, so I could enjoy the crab legs at the end. It's a creative and flavorful dish, but they really need to check the quality and freshness of the whole crab they are using. For the price, I expect perfectly fresh seafood. Our waiter - Mr. Andy was also very nice and friendly, which added to the great experience. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys Western food. The prices are very reasonable for such a fancy atmosphere."

"Visited Kucina with my family of five and took advantage of their 1-for-1 promotion. We had a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The standout dishes for us were definitely the ravioli and calamari — both were exceptionally well-seasoned, flavourful, and cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the truffle fries, clams, lamb shank, four-cheese pizza, and several other dishes, all of which were delicious and generously portioned. Service was excellent as well. The staff were attentive, friendly, and the food arrived surprisingly quickly despite the restaurant being busy. The ambience was warm and inviting, making it a great place for a family meal. Overall, great food, great service, and great value. We would definitely return and highly recommend Kucina to anyone looking for quality Italian food in a comfortable setting. Congrats on your 10th anniversary! 🎉"

"This is one of the best places for nasi padang in Singapore. The variety of dishes is pretty wide, more than you’ll find elsewhere. The quality of cooking is top notch. The place is a bit bland and it can get very crowded."

"The zhi char dishes were all up to mark. The basic zhi char dishes like the fried rice and San Lou bee Hoon packed the wok hei & umami. The sweet & sour pork was a different style from most other zhi char stall. Will return to try their Hor Fun, a simple zhi char dish which most stall can't even do properly. It was a nice cozy place to dine in."

"Quick ordering at the entrance. It was raining cats and dogs so I chose outdoor seating, well covered. I added extra ribs for sgd2.3. The waiter was super friendly and helpful. I could see the whole team enjoying their teamwork. The BKT Ofcuz can’t be compared to Malaysian standard but it was the closest I could get when it was pouring heavily. I personally like the braised egg a lot, it’s very rich in flavour."

"Finally tried Sean Kee Duck Rice and it really lived up to the hype. The duck was tender, flavourful and not overly greasy, but what surprised me most was the soup light, comforting and slightly sweet in the most refreshing way. Subtle hints of raddish and carrots?? But Such a nice balance alongside the rich duck rice. The chilli mixed with vinegar was honestly addictive too. It had that sharp tangy kick that made every bite even better. Simple combination but done so well. Only downside? Parking was an absolute struggle to find 😭 But the food definitely made up for it."
