Finally tried Sean Kee Duck Rice and it really lived up to the hype. The duck was tender, flavourful and not overly greasy, but what surprised me most was the soup light, comforting and slightly sweet in the most refreshing way. Subtle hints of raddish and carrots?? But Such a nice balance alongside the rich duck rice. The chilli mixed with vinegar was honestly addictive too. It had that sharp tangy kick that made every bite even better. Simple combination but done so well. Only downside? Parking was an absolute struggle to find 😭 But the food definitely made up for it.

Nothing here will surprise you or blow you away, but it’s a solid, well-executed plate of braised duck rice that delivers where it matters. The soup leans light and herbaceous, with a clear note of dang gui running through it β€” clean, comforting, and not overly heavy. The yam rice is well-balanced and flavourful, doing its job without stealing attention. As for the duck, it’s handled competently: not dry, though it stops short of being truly tender. The braised peanuts bring a gentle sweetness that helps round off the saltiness of the sauce, while the beancurd soaks up the braising liquid nicely. Interestingly, the duck liver stands out more than the meat itself β€” soft, slightly sticky in texture, with a mild, pleasant gaminess and a rich, almost creamy depth that lingers on the palate without turning metallic or harsh. Ordering is straightforward β€” just tell the staff how many people you’re feeding, and if innards aren’t your thing, just say the word. At $10 for a single portion, it’s not exactly cheap, but you’re paying for a dish that’s been put together with care and consistency.

I don’t usually eat braised duck but this is one stall I’ll make an exception. The sauce is one of the kind and it goes so well with the rice and the meat. The soup is also special and appetizing. But I felt the combination platter is overpriced costing around $32 for two pax. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable meal.

Very good brasied duck and sides ! Came on weekend average 35min wait , wasn't much queue so guess it's average . Food doesn't look fantastic due to a messy plate full of delightful braised goodness . Gravy was really thick and flavourful , better to have porridge then yam rice for that reason . The clear small bowl of soup was the standout for me, it packs a punch ! 10 bucks plated for 1 person which is above the ordinary but overall a great plate and will come again

Not the cheapest is the reaction, but their braise sauce and rice IS SO GOOD! Prob best if you weigh just these..duck is pretty normal and standard but I'll really love to go back for their braise. Can be pricey. Two person for about 24 and kinda little protein (duck).
