This is one of the best places for nasi padang in Singapore. The variety of dishes is pretty wide, more than you’ll find elsewhere. The quality of cooking is top notch. The place is a bit bland and it can get very crowded.

Ordering from the kiosk for takeaway was a waste of time. It’s better to queue. After 30min food not ready for collection. Had to go to the counter then only one of the staffs started to prepare and pack my food. Mdm Intan sarcastically said to her colleagues, “please prepare her food now. She waited for 3 hours”. After collecting the food, reached home to know vegetables given were incorrect (click picture of spinach given cabbage), paru belado was not given in one for my packed food and begedel was not given too.

Hjh Maimunah in Singapore is an Indonesian nasi padang restaurant, not a Malaysian restaurant as described. Both the Jalan Pisang and Joo Chiat branches offer absolutely delectable food, self selected from a vast array of chicken, beef and seafood dishes. The portions are then handed to you and after selecting the sambals or chili sauces to go with your selections, you ask for white rice and after picking up your drinks, you then take your tray upstairs, sit down and help yourself to a scrumptious, reasonably priced meal. The dining space is busy with customers enjoying their food but, even at peak meal times, you are likely to find a seat. Our party of four ordered a lot of food and there were leftovers to take home. Favorites included: curry chicken, beef rendang, asam pedas sting ray, cuttle fish cooked in red sauce with a huge deep fried bean curd cube, bean sprouts ... too many to list ... the food is savory but not at all spicy. The chicken curry is cooked in a rich coconut based sauce. The beef rendang has been cooked for hours in another rich spice-laden coconut based sauce and is fork tender. There were many options we did not have the chance to explore ... grilled chicken, grilled fish, noodles ... go with a large group to share Maimunah's diverse offerings. Well worth the trip to 20 Joo Chiat Road.

Decent nasi padang. Can’t go wrong with HJH. Portions are getting smaller with time. Food is nice but sambal belacan could be spicier.

Very tasty Nasi Campur Restaurant with a good selection. Not sure if closer to Malay or Indonesia Cuisine but worth the visit. Your taste buds will thank you! Priced reasonably with a nice sit down environment! I was there later in the day about 4:30pm and quite a bit of the food is already sold out.
