"First time at LUSS this evening, and I was totally amazed by the gem! A quiet place (most probably due to a weekday) and a little hide-out that serves excellent food - we tried the chilli crab mantou, hainanese chicken pasta, roast baby back ribs and muah chee! What an unique combination of food! Ordered a red wine Cabernet Sauvignon to pair with the food - very smooth and easy to drink. And since it is a whiskey place, we gave it a shot to try the whiskey as recommended by the server - Tomatin 12Y0 Bourbon & Sherry Cask. It was smooth and easy to drink, either neat or on the rock! And to add on to the surprise - we were presented a dessert of lava cake and vanilla ice-cream (and a candle!) to mark our anniversary! What a surprise and nice gesture of LUSS! Spoke to the owner, Joanne before we left and we really appreciate the hospitality and service! Do send our thanks and regards to the Indian lady who served us (didn't manage to get her full name). You guys really made out occasion a special and memorable one! 😍 We wish you the very best of business and we look forward to coming back soon to try other dishes! 😄 🙏"

"A fantastic dining experience. As a vegetarian, I appreciated that there were still delicious à la carte options. The beetroot dish was incredibly creative, the mushroom pappardelle was my favourite, and even the fennel (which I normally don’t like) was fresh and delicious. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the staff took the time to explain the ingredients and cooking methods, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!"

"Popped by for lunch the other day and was honestly blown away. Looking at the casual vibes of the place, I wasn't expecting much, but the plating standards are really next level—looks like something you’d get at a high-end bistro. We ordered a spread to share: the Pinky Pasta, Slow Cooked Beef, Pizza, Onion Rings, and the Popraage. Every single dish was brilliant. The beef was fork-tender and the pasta had a great balance of flavors. Even the sides like the onion rings were perfectly crisp, not oily at all. Portions are decent, but the food was so good that the two of us cleaned up every single plate. Definitely a hidden gem if you’re looking for quality food without the pretentious atmosphere. Will be back for sure!"

"Overbrød had been on my list for a while, and I was excited to finally try it since I haven’t really had proper Scandinavian food. The space and presentation definitely make for a lovely lunch experience. We got the Set Lunch ($25) with the Salmon 2 Ways smørrebrød, tomato fennel soup, and a hot batch brew, plus a half portion of the Smashed Potatoes ($6). The set may sound pricey for toast and soup, but prices are nett. The smørrebrød was beautifully plated and they were generous with the salmon pâté and toppings. The pomegranate seeds added a nice burst of sweetness too. That said, I kinda wished the bread was a bit thicker to better balance everything. The tangy tomato soup on the side helped cut through the richness nicely. The standout for us was the smashed potatoes. Cooked in hay-smoked butter and topped generously with garlic breadcrumbs, tobiko, and saffron mayo, it had great flavour and texture. It did get a little greasy towards the end from the butter pooling at the bottom, but still enjoyable overall. Worth trying at least once for something different, though probably not a place I’d rush back to. 📸 For more food reviews, check out @hangry.potatoo on instagram."

"Tuna tartare was quite good. The thick spaghetti works well with the mushroom sauce. The chicken thigh was good although could have been better if fresh chicken was used. The atmosphere is nice and cosy."

"We were looking for a buffet spot for our festive gathering and decided to try the Chinese New Year spread at Momentus Hotel Alexandra, and it turned out to be such a great find. Honestly, it’s really value for money considering the variety. The spread was awesome — so much to choose from and everything felt thoughtfully curated for the festive season. The highlight for me has to be the grilled 14-day shio kombu butter aged Angus rib eye — incredibly tender and packed with flavour. The wagyu beef simply melted in my mouth. And the yusheng was honestly one of the best we’ve had this year — fresh, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. Definitely a great start to our festive meal. Not forgetting the crispy cod fish. It is a hit among my kids. Service was another big plus. The team was warm and attentive throughout, especially Arin, who made sure our table was well taken care of. The vibes were lovely too — festive yet relaxed, perfect for a gathering with family and friends. Would definitely consider coming back again for another celebration."

"Ed has been the most wonderful waiter for our table, giving my family heaps of information on local favourites. All the food were beautifully presented with extraordinarily mouth watering textures. As we are here on holiday from Australia, I would definitely highly recommend ‘Public Italian Kitchen’ as a place to dine in. Another perk about this restaurant is that it is located by the water! -Happy Dining- Graham"

"As soon as I arrived in the beautiful city of Queenstown, I was lucky enough to find the best coffee shop and an incredible breakfast that I returned to every day of my stay. I must highlight the excellent service; everyone was friendly and always had a smile on their face from the moment I arrived until I left. The place was very clean. I hope to return soon. I felt very comfortable and completely satisfied. Odd Saint, 100% recommended ❤️"

"A real hidden gem! We got the pain au chocolate, truffle fries, creamy miso and a side of scrambled eggs. Every dish was perfectly seasoned, cooked and so so delicious. The truffle fries had a generous serving of grated parmesan and the pasta came with mouth watering crispy kale. We also had their coffee - a hot latte, iced latte and a babyccino for the little one. The coffee is more affordable than most cafes but was as fragrant, if not more fragrant and perfectly balanced than any random cafe. The family enjoyed every dish and already planning when to come back! We finished off with a hazelnut donut, not pictured as my husband immediately digged in. & needless to say, like all their dishes, it was perfection. Looking forward to our next visit! Total cost for 2 adults + 1 little one - a very reasonable $65, all taxes included. Edit: back again for the 3rd time! The family really enjoys the food here. We had the rosti, which was thicker and crispier than the one you’d have at marche. Added a hash brown for +$4. A tad pricey but has brown was perfectly cooked."

"Came here for colleague's farewell, all of us ordered the executive lunch set. For appetisers, I tried the jalapeño tostadas (the spicy kick is really something) and the parmesan cauliflower (quite moreish). I had the grilled salmon with lemon herb butter for my main, it was delicious too. Service was also good, the staff patiently answered our questions."

"Had a great dinner at Les Bouchons Rochester! Love that it’s pet-friendly and the food quality is amazing. We tried the Christmas Family Menu — charcuterie platter, homemade French onion soup, and a festive platter with wagyu sirloin, pork baby short ribs, 40 garlic chicken, and barramundi with yuzu cream. Everything was delicious. Desserts were a treat too, especially the apple tart with cinnamon gelato. Their wines were lovely, and the oysters with Redbull were surprisingly good! Definitely coming back to try more. Highly recommend!"
