FINZ Seafood & Grill

We had a wonderful dining experience here. We started with scallops as our entrée. While waiting for the main courses(and taking photos), the scallops cooled down a little bit, so we asked if they could be gently reheated for about 10 seconds. To our surprise, the kitchen kindly prepared a completely new dish for us instead（such a thoughtful and generous gesture that genuinely touched us.） Every dish was outstanding. Cooked to perfection, showing great skill and attention to detail from the chef. The presentation was also visually delightful. Our waitress, Nadine, was absolutely lovely. She was patient, warm, and genuinely kind (not the kind of politeness that feels forced). As a highly sensitive person, I could actually tell sincerity from people's eyes and micro expressions, and Nadine truly made us feel comfortable and cared for. We felt completely at ease asking her anything. Although my mother's cellphone got stolen earlier in Queenstown CBD, which left us feeling quite low, this Chinese New Year dinner became a beautifully gentle highlight of our New Zealand journey. The food and the service here are top notch! The first time we tried it, my partner and I loved it so much, that decided to come back for a second date to celebrate his birthday, and it did not disappoint. The drinks are quite tasty and the guys at the bar were super friendly and attentive. (Recommend to try the cocktail New Queens Sour with local distills 10/10) Nadine took care of us for our second visit and she was amazing! They received us with a little surprise at the table for my partner’s birthday ( won’t spill the beans, but that was such a nice touch! Thank you! ) Recommend to try the tuna ceviche. So unique! The Tuna Sirloin and the Pan Seared Market Fish were astonishingly delicious!

We came across this restaurant by accident – but what a brilliant accident it turned out to be! It was very busy for a weekday, but luckily we managed to grab a table. We shared the seafood platter and each ordered a main. The portions were just right, and most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. Fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour. The real highlight of the night, though, was the service. Our waiter, Alex, was incredibly friendly and welcoming – truly the cherry on top of a great evening. Would definitely recommend and happily come back again!

Yummy food and definitely one of the pricier places we ate at in Queenstown. The glazed prawns were AMAZING - definitely a must-have and honestly the star of the show for me. I had the handmade spaghetti for my main which was still delicious, but I felt like it was missing a little something extra, maybe some cheese or a sauce to give it more oomf. Still worth trying though! One of the girls got the Wagyu beef cheek and it was sooo good - I’d definitely order that next time. Service was great! Really liked our waiter, he was funny, friendly, & real attentive. Would recommend if you’re after a cozy place for dinner.

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at FINZ. Every single dish we ordered was delicious, exceptionally fresh, clean, and made with top-quality ingredients. We tried a variety of dishes including the Striploin, Lamb, and Snapper—all of which were cooked to perfection. However, the absolute highlight of the night was the mussels. They were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and a absolute must-try! To make the night even better, the service was top-notch. A special shoutout to Ms. Rose, who was incredibly sweet, attentive, and always had a bright, welcoming smile on her face. If you are looking for premium quality food and stellar service, FINZ is highly recommended
