"Came by for a dinner with my partner after seeing all the positive reviews online and we weren’t disappointed. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent (rare here in SG). The sashimi was really fresh and the cooked food brought back the flavours and memories of Japan for the both of us. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the entire meal as well. To top it off the ambience was great and the modern anime themes playing in the back was a plus for me too. Definitely coming back here again."

"Had a satisfying meal overall, with the Half Chicken in Lemon Cream Sauce as the main highlight. The chicken was tender and nicely roasted, with a rich, velvety lemon cream sauce that added a pleasant tang without being overpowering. The portion was generous and comforting, making it a solid choice if you’re craving something hearty. What truly surprised me, though, were the sides. The mac and cheese was creamy and indulgent, but the Brussels sprouts and cauliflower nearly stole the spotlight. Perfectly roasted with crispy edges and a deep, savoury flavour, they added texture and balance to the meal — bold, addictive, and far from the usual “just a side” dish. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience that I’d gladly return for."

"Food wise was good. The mapo tofu was excellent. MUST go with some white rice. Chawanmushi was very good. A bit pricey though. I hear the executive set lunch was value. CNY period not available. May try when it's back after CNY."

"Nice fish which was very tender and good atmosphere! Though, the crispy pork was a bit tough! They provide free snacks too :) I enjoyed the matcha bloom beancurd and osmanthus beancurd!!"

"Been to the Centrepoint outlet a few times and was very happy to see they have now relocated to Orchard Gateway. They have a special soft launch now till 10 June at their new outlet with a 35% discount, but prior reservation is needed with the restaurant manager and only certain items are available during this period. This promotion is really worth the price, with such great food quality and presentation. The dishes all look so lovely and well-presented. Enjoyed the ebi donburi set, Teriyaki chicken donburi set and the warabi mochi. The restaurant manager and server were very friendly and welcoming too. So satisfied with everything. It was a lovely lunch."

"I had a really satisfying Korean BBQ meal at Nanta BBQ — the meat was juicy, and well marinated, and the banchan gave the whole table a good variety of flavours to mix things up. Their BBQ sets and dishes seem to sit in the mid-range for Singapore, with items like BBQ set meals around the low $20s and larger premium options going much higher, so it’s not the cheapest spot, but it does feel like a proper Korean feast. The refillable greens and kimchi and noodles side dishes were great and I refilled many times on my own. They almost stole the limelight for me. The atmosphere felt casual and comfortable for a relaxed meal with friends. I’d come back when I’m in the mood for hearty Korean food that’s filling, fun to share, and worth the splurge."

"Had a wonderful experience for dinner here. Tucked away inside a hotel is a stellar omakase experience for a good price. I recommend the stone seared fatty tuna sushi, which is one of their specialties! Also the dessert that came with the Hatsu set was so impressive with its diversity. Would definitely love to come back."

"Stopped by for a meal and the experience was solid. Had the smoked duck and the quality is definitely high, but the noodles were a bit too ‘lemak’ (rich/creamy) for my personal preference as I usually go for a drier style. It’s a great dish if you love that rich, authentic gravy—just down to my own taste buds! The Japanese Matcha Cheesecake is a 10/10 and easily the highlight of the meal. Huge thanks to Iman for the top-tier service. She was very professional and handled my feedback about the noodles with total class, and they even served a complimentary portion of chicken wings which were delicious. Really appreciated the gesture. Chill atmosphere and high-end vibes. Recommended."

"A unique Korean dining experience that’s definitely worth a try! 🇰🇷 We ordered the sharing platter for 4 and added the soy-marinated scallops & prawns — both were absolutely yummy. The makgoli bread with butter was really interesting and fragrant, with a light hint of makgoli that made it stand out. The desserts were also excellent and a great way to end the meal. One of the highlights was the woodae galbi — super tender and beautifully marinated. Overall, we had a great dining experience at Kimchi Dining. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the serving speed was impressively fast. Highly recommend giving it a try!"

"The owners were warm and welcoming! Loved the food and vibes too. Can really taste the spices and herbs used. It was spicy but the kind of spicy that makes you come back for more! The prices are decent and affordable! Will definitely come back! Came back again on 27 February for ramadhan breakfast and ordered different menu. As always the food is great, the owners were warm and great. Really good place to bring families to break your fast here. They even gave us Dates to break fast with!"

"Everything from the appetizers down to the desserts were excellent. We were given hearty portions worth of appetizers which all had very unique taste profiles. Although the bread didn’t feel so special, the beef and cheese mixed with corn and the meat pie were very unique and enjoyable. I chose the Argentenian Ribeye and it was cooked very nicely. Every bite was fatty and juicy. The dessert was also amazing. My father who rarely ever eats dessert finished the plate. The atmosphere is wonderful and so is the view. The service is also amazing. I would definitely come back here again."

"I had been looking at this beautiful building from taxi windows for years. What was once an old colonial-style house from my childhood had somehow transformed into a stylish restaurant, and every time I passed by, I found myself thinking, “One day.” It just took me a very long time to get there. That opportunity finally came when I visited with an old friend. I arrived by taxi, but if you’re taking public transport, Newton MRT Station is probably the closest station. Expect around a 10-minute walk. The experience starts before you even enter the restaurant. A doorman dressed in an elegant, old-world uniform stands at the entrance and guides guests inside. It feels less like entering a restaurant and more like arriving somewhere important. Inside, another staff member welcomed us and led us to our seats. The dining room is centered around an open kitchen, with counter seating wrapping around it in a U-shape, allowing guests to watch the chefs at work. The atmosphere is calm, refined, and unhurried. Even on a weekday, the restaurant was fully booked. The menu consisted of only two omakase options (7 or 9 courses). We paired each course with a different sake, which turned out to be one of the highlights of the evening. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicately prepared. Somewhere around the middle of the meal, I reached the point where I thought, “There is absolutely no way I can eat another bite.” Fortunately, the next course arrived and proved me wrong. The sake selection was outstanding. I particularly appreciated that they were willing to open bottles by the glass instead of requiring guests to order an entire bottle. That’s surprisingly generous at this level. The beef deserves special mention. It was so tender that it practically disappeared the moment it touched my tongue. By that stage I was already full, yet somehow managed to finish every bite. Another thoughtful touch: if you can’t finish the final rice course, they’ll prepare it as onigiri for you to take home. A small gesture, but one that perfectly reflects the restaurant’s attention to hospitality. I’ve heard the chef changed recently, but he was warm, approachable, and happy to chat with guests. Singapore has plenty of restaurants in a similar price range, but in terms of food quality, service, atmosphere, and overall experience, I personally found this place to offer excellent value. Some meals fill your stomach. This one filled an evening with memories. A wonderful experience from start to finish."

"We are so glad to finally visit IRU DEN! Amazing Taiwanese-Japanese fusion dishes, and Chef Javier, his wife Emily, and the IRU DEN team made us feel very welcomed. The dishes were all very well thought out. Even the chicken soup (as a palate cleanser) was amazing… We particularly liked how they would share about the dishes with an iPad showing the origins or ingredients inspired by Taiwan. The venue was very spacious and nice too. It’s in a refurbished government building, so I tell people it’s the biggest omakase venue I’ve ever been in Singapore. Overall, an excellent experience! 🙌🏼"
