探鱼烤鱼 - TANYU 313@somerset

Nice fish which was very tender and good atmosphere! Though, the crispy pork was a bit tough! They provide free snacks too :) I enjoyed the matcha bloom beancurd and osmanthus beancurd!!

TANYU is well known for its signature grilled fish but since the start of this year, their 313 Somerset outlet has also been offering over 40 premium BBQ skewers! You have to check out their impressive interactive BBQ Skewer live station. My favourite skewer has to be the fat succulent chicken wings and craramelised pineapple which is still so juicy after grilling.

I wanted to go 🚶‍♂️for dinner here on a Friday 📆 and it was jam packed! Blessing 😇 has it, I was sent back into town 🏬 for an early meeting. This time round I was so early, I was the first into the door 🤣 LOL 6000+ positive reviews 📝, what is everyone raving 🗣️ about 🤷‍♂️? I had to go and check it out, and I will give you my conclusion 💬 at the end. Restaurant – Just exit the MRT 🚇and walk 🚶‍♀️towards 313 basement and it is right next to the escalator, you cannot miss it. Place is well decorated, clean 🫧🧼 , bright and nicely renovated. Gives off the vibes but not too overwhelming. (See my pics 📸 and video 📹) Staff – This is HDL in the making. They are very attentive and very helpful, almost to HDL standard. #iamimpressed I was guided to my table, explained my lunch 🍽️options, the “sticks” 🍢section, what to expect….etc. Even when I told him I couldn’t speak 🗣️very good Chinese 🇨🇳, he immediately switched to English. Extra plates 🍽️, lemon 🍋for the drinks🥤, extra chili 🌶️…..etc. whatever you do not see in the menu or in the restaurant, just ask and they will get it for you. 👍 Food – There are clearly too many paths of enjoyment here. 🤣 You either go with the famous fish 🐟 pot or you have a go at the skewers 🍢. I didn’t even manage a single Skewer 🍢🍡as I was totally stuffed 😋 from eating the fish 🐠. I had the Grilled Fish with Sauerkraut, Fried Egg 🍳with velvet mushroom 🍄‍🟫, Fresh Prawns 🦐, Onion 🧅 Oil Noodles and add on to our pot. Fish is really fresh and well cooked. The side dishes are also of a huge size and well cooked. ✅✅✅ The skewers were just calling 📣out to me while I was there, but I just cannot eat anymore. Next visit I will most likely do it. If you can find the space, I will suggest 💬 you order both the Grilled Fish in a hot pot😚+ the skewers. Love Tanyu grilled fish the most, the taste is superb. This branch comes with self-pick skewers section, visually allow us to have more choices to select. The chives and squid skewers are delicious. Chicken and meat skewers also taste great. Waitress also very friendly and helpful.

Their grilled fish with fresh green pepper never disappoints. I’m always happy to reorder this dish. Today, they even gave a free matcha dish, which was a nice surprise! Definitely left me with a happy tummy. Is it great? Absolutely.
