"The first time, they told me to replace the entire screen assembly. I didn’t think much of it then, but later I found out from other shops in Sim Lim Square that only the front glass could have been replaced at a much lower cost. The second repair was done in Aug 2025. By Mar 2026, the screen stopped working again. When I brought it back, they said it was out of warranty (only 1 month coverage) and quoted me $800+ to replace the whole screen again. I decided to get a second opinion at Sim Lim Square. The technician there said the issue could be fixed by replacing just the front screen (more labor-intensive, so not every shop does it). They also found that some screws from the previous repair weren’t installed properly, and a sharp edge had damaged the internal cable, causing the failure. Honestly, this reflects poorly on the shop — seems like they prefer doing less work for higher profit rather than proper repairs. I wouldn’t recommend this place. You’re better off going to Sim Lim Square where there are more options and better pricing."

"I had a very pleasant shopping experience at this 343 Balestier store- wide variety of lights and both the sales men Johnny and his colleague were very helpful, polite and friendly- immediately put me at ease with their pleasant deposition. Johnny is also very attentive to my needs and listed all the lights in which area so that he and I can remember! I m v happy w my shopping experience and bought all my lights here since there is free delivery when you hit $600. Highly recommended. P.s: it’s on the 2nd storey so make sure u dont miss it. Right at the entrance, there are 2 funny black lamp men to greet you at the stairs!"

"Occasionally we need that 'slightly bigger household appliances', and this is my go to place. This time round was for a washer/ dryer.. the sales staff is very knowledgeable, asked all the right questions, gave suggestions without being pushy, and I decided within minutes. Delivery was swiftly sorted, includes disposal of the old one, reminded me to use the 'climate vouchers'. So, it was a massive difference after their store discount and vouchers. Also, delivery was on time, they called before coming, the team was well trained, took out the old set and replaced in double quick time. He was also patient with me when I took time to clean the area before the new one went in. Before they left, made sure I did a quick 15min run on the washer :)"

"We engaged Darren Ang from the Balestier showroom for our 5-room BTO renovation, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. "Walked the whole stretch of Balestier and chanced upon this shop. Service was pretty good, pricing is decent. They have this unique thread lights where the driver is in their lights and it’s magnetic. You can customise however you want and control each individual light with different light tone and brightness."

"We bought two ceiling lights from J Lighting at Balestier Road recently. The pricing was reasonable and most importantly the service was exceptional. Wilson the owner of the lighting shop gave honest suggestion based on my requirements. The installation costs were also reasonable, My wife and I were happy with the ceiling lights. We were so impressed with Wilson’s service that we recommended his shop to my daughter who subsequently purchased some lightings from him. Thanks Wilson ."
