Square 2 feels like a handy all-in-one stop, with plenty of shops and a good mix of food and everyday essentials. I liked that I could browse a few different areas without needing to go far, and it has a lively, easygoing atmosphere. The direct connection to the nearby area is also a nice plus when you want a convenient visit.

Square 2 has always been a mall with its own character, though admittedly it feels a little less polished these days with the ongoing renovations. I’ve visited it on and off over the years, and while it has never been the biggest or flashiest mall around, it does have a mix of small shops and eateries that make it worth a stop if you are in the Novena area. There is a certain charm in its slightly older layout, though the narrow lanes on the higher floors can make navigating a bit tricky, especially during peak hours. It is not the most spacious of malls, and you often find yourself weaving through tighter corridors compared to larger shopping centres nearby. Still, Square 2 retains some practicality. Its location above Novena MRT makes it convenient, and it continues to house a range of food options and services. I do look forward to seeing how the renovations will refresh the place, as it has good potential to feel more comfortable and inviting. For now, it remains a functional stop for quick errands or meals, though not quite the kind of mall you would linger in for hours.
The walkway to Square 2 has been closed for more than 6 months and nothing is happening. This the other entrance/dropoff point crowded and patients/staff from nearby hospitals have to make detour under the sun/rain. Toilets are also old and very dirty.
A barista name Mei Yan really provided excellent services and great coffee during my visit! She did not hesitate to take my suggestion and improve the coffee immediately! Nice services! 🙆♀️ But sadly seeing others just hanging around while she keep busying alone! Please show professionalism and cooperate with good employees😡
