"Ordered the recommended dishes with secret recipe; mee hoon kueh, fish maw soup, fried chicken wings and curry chicken. Mee hoon kueh soup is too bland, fish maw soup has a weird taste + not thick soup, curry chicken gravy is too watery and these taste standard are worst off than hawker or foodcourt food. Chicken wings is normal. I came to try because I saw from Instagram marketing videos and I cannot believe what I have eaten. From the pics already can tell the food standard and you can tell that the food is too watery. Come try the food yourselves :)"

"Great pet-friendly spot with an extensive menu and lovely vibes! We visited Daruma Tavern Punggol for a late afternoon lunch and had a wonderful experience. Their outdoor sheltered area is completely pet-friendly and stays quite cool and breezy even in the afternoon, which made it very comfortable for our dogs The menu has an impressive variety of options—so many choices that it actually took us a while to decide because everything looked so good! The food is very affordably priced, and the staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. It’s a fantastic place to chill out with friends, especially since they serve alcohol. Plus, its location right next to a park is perfect for taking a relaxing stroll after your meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be returning to try more of their dishes! Highly recommended for pet owners and anyone looking for a relaxed spot to unwind."

"This restaurant does not meet basic Singapore dining standards and is absolutely not value for money. First, the hygiene is a major concern. There was wastewater from either the kitchen or sewage spilled inside the kitchen and along one side of the dining area. Even the menu cards were greasy and some pages covered in old curry stains. Second, the service and ambience were highly unprofessional. The staff showed less interest in welcoming guests or taking orders. The venue has potential for a nice atmosphere, but management clearly does not care. The only effort made was a loud TV screen blasting Indian songs. Finally, the food was just disappointing. Most of the dishes we wanted to order were "sold out," so we had to settle for whatever was left. The food quality was average at best, strictly on par with a basic hawker centre grade. Despite the low-quality food and poor service, they still charged full service tax and other taxes.Save your money and go elsewhere. There are far cleaner and better options available in Singapore."

"After returning from our short trip to Kota Tinggi, Kitty and I cycled back and decided to have dinner here. This is one of her favourite places. We ordered the Father’s Day set, which includes soup, main course and dessert at SGD 38.50 per set. Kitty chose the fish set, while I chose the beef set, so we could share and enjoy a good variety of flavours. Halfway through our meal, Aerin joined us. As my set did not come with a potato, I asked the manager if we could add one and pay for it. To our surprise, he kindly provided it as a complimentary item for the occasion. We were very touched. Kitty had already added a baked potato to her order at extra cost, so we ended up with two potatoes; it was still a lovely gesture. There were a few small mix ups, but the service recovery was excellent. When Aerin ordered cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup was served by mistake. The staff noticed immediately, brought out the correct soup, and let us keep the chicken soup free of charge. My tenderloin steak was cooked medium rare exactly as requested, tender and full of flavour. Aerin found her meat too rare, and the kitchen happily recooked it to her preferred doneness without delay. Prices are clear and reasonable. The total came to SGD 160.55 inclusive of 10% service charge and 9% GST. The restaurant becomes quite crowded after 7 pm on weekends, so arriving early is advisable. Overall, we had a very satisfactory. dinner. The staff were attentive and quick to put things right. We will definitely return."

"Had a lovely dinner at Punggol Settlement with my SO and friends, and we chose Izakaya 95 居九五 for the night 🍶✨ We ordered quite a feast: • Salted Surume Ika – lightly salted grilled squid that was chewy and snacky, perfect to nibble on. • Kagoshima Buta Teriyaki – black pork belly grilled over open flame and glazed till beautifully caramelised. Sticky, juicy, and absolutely delicious. • Smoked Duck Skewers – nicely executed, tender inside with a lovely smoky aroma. • Yaki Udon – classic stir-fried udon, simple and comforting. • Asari Ramen – clam ramen with a broth that started off garlicky and finished deeply umami. Loved how the noodles soaked up all that flavour, and the clams were big and juicy. • Niniku Fried Rice – Japanese-style garlic fried rice that hits you with fragrance the moment it touches your mouth. Savoury and addictive. Overall, the food here is really top class. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but definitely worth every penny for the quality and flavours. A great spot for a nice dinner with good company — will gladly come back again 🍜🔥 #Izakaya95 #居九五 #PunggolSettlement #JapaneseFood #JapaneseCuisine #IzakayaVibes #SurumeIka #AsariRamen #YakiUdon #GarlicFriedRice #KagoshimaPork #SmokedDuck #DinnerWithFriends #SGFood #SGFoodies #FoodieSG #SGEats #JapaneseFoodSG #GoodEats #WorthEveryBite #mealsphotos @izakaya95"

"Nice Vietnamese food here, presented well and the taste is good, but it feels a bit normal. I cannot really describe it, but it did not have the wow factor I usually get when eating Vietnamese food. Costs about $10+ per dish only, so the pricing is quite good. But the environment is nice. When you come here, they will give you 3 QR codes to scan for different Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese food menus."

"We ordered a few small boat noodles with different flavours and fries. 2 adults and a toddler. The service was 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Food was nice but not wow, great affordable price. I ended up just getting a larger bowl for myself. It was a lovely evening...it was a nice place to sit and chill for a light meal."
