Daruma Tavern Punggol

Great pet-friendly spot with an extensive menu and lovely vibes! We visited Daruma Tavern Punggol for a late afternoon lunch and had a wonderful experience. Their outdoor sheltered area is completely pet-friendly and stays quite cool and breezy even in the afternoon, which made it very comfortable for our dogs The menu has an impressive variety of options—so many choices that it actually took us a while to decide because everything looked so good! The food is very affordably priced, and the staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. It’s a fantastic place to chill out with friends, especially since they serve alcohol. Plus, its location right next to a park is perfect for taking a relaxing stroll after your meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be returning to try more of their dishes! Highly recommended for pet owners and anyone looking for a relaxed spot to unwind.

Been running past this place for a long time and decided mother's day would be a good time to go over without reservation. It was crowded and no indoor seating was available because it was booked but that was expected. We arrived around 6.40pm and the lady was nice to tell us that the next available outdoor seating was at 7.40pm. However we waited less then that and was seated around 7pm. Food was good and within the usual night out price range. Our group of 3 were happy with the dishes we ordered. Expect to wait for the wagyu beef and seafood marinara pasta if they are crowded so only order it if you are willing to wait. The staff was friendly and music wasn't loud enough to drown conversations. Overall, we are happy with the impromptu decision to try out this place. Outdoor seating for groups with pet(s). Definitely would come back again.

Situated right next to the Lorong Halus bridge within a new HDB estate, this is one of the most scenic and chill pet friendly bars I have visited recently. The local fare looked really great, and you can taste the wok hei from the photos. The prawn noodles was superb. Wok hei was just nice (not overly done), there was enough gravy to keep the noodle/bee hoon moist and not overly dry. The sambal stingray had really spicy chilli, especially if you eat it with the onion and down it with beer or soju. The fish and chips were a little dry for my liking but it is extremely well fried and came with a generous portion of fries. There was a healthy selection of alcohol at the fridge, from beers to soju and sake. I managed to find a rather uncommon bottle of sparkling sake that I haven’t had in years! Service was outstanding. Staff are warm, friendly and pet-loving. The overall genuine touch by each and every staff member is something that many others can learn from. There is ice cream for pets, and we choose the strawberry for our dog. Will definitely return for the 4 pax portions of prawn noodles!

Food was tasty. The Hokkien Mee and Satay were great! I could taste the wok hey from the noodles and the satay didn't taste like there were from the microwave. Dishes were reasonably priced and I enjoyed the beer flight too. You are advised to make reservation via WhatsApp on weekends. The outdoor seating area is pet-friendly too.

Came here for the big bowl of Hokkien mee, and it was nice that they informed us beforehand about the waiting time. The Hokkien mee was not bad, with a slight wok hei flavour, though I personally wished it was a bit stronger. The prawns were pretty fresh, and I really liked the crispy pork topping, which was actually crispy and added a nice texture to the dish. I just wish there was more sotong included. We also ordered the stingray, which was quite good. It had a nice smoky flavour, and the sambal was very spicy, especially after a few mouthfuls. Overall, not a bad place if you're craving Hokkien mee and local seafood dishes.
