"We decided to have lunch here for our parents anniversary and really enjoyed our meal. I’m a vegan and they were able to customise my order to remove dairy which I appreciated. For our starters, we had Pani Puri, Sev Puri and Samosa Chaat. I really liked the pani puri and samosa chaat. For our mains, we ordered the Chana Masala, veg Jalfrezi and black dal. The chana masala and Jalfrezi was very enjoyable and also not spicy which we like. My parents ordered the Moong Dal Halwa for dessert and they enjoyed it. You usually don’t get to see this in other restaurants which is nice and unique. You should definitely come here as the atmosphere is nice and staff are great and patient."

"Food was very tasty. Special mentions must be given to the mee siam briyani which had tender fresh mutton and flavourful rempah. Ordered the claypot prata which overwhelmed us with the thick and juicy mutton chunks with prata chops. Price wise, very reasonable and portions are good. Shop owner Nizar and family were very friendly and customer oriented. Overall, will recommend Sikkander’s Briyani to all food lovers"

"Have tried their food before at another outlet, and this time we were here for the South Indian and Indo-Chinese options. Overall, the food was decent and tasted great — suitable for local taste buds while still retaining the authentic flavors of Indian cuisine. The staff were friendly towards every customer, and even my partner, who rarely eats Indian cuisine, enjoyed the food here. Will definitely revisit again!"

"The vibe and food were fantastic. Service was also excellent. The waitress was very friendly and attended to us promptly. We ordered the hot pot with Thai soup and were satisfied with the wide variety of veg while it came with small portion of prawns, squid (given more to replace fish), clams and sliced beef. It came with a promotion - $10 for salads or pork. We took the chicken salad which was appetising. We also had fresh spring rolls - very fresh ingredients and tasty garlicky spicy fish sauce. There were 3 of us and we were very fulfilled."

"Butter & Spice Katong has quickly become one of my favorite spots for a relaxed meal with bold, comforting flavors. From the moment we walked in, the warm interiors and easy hospitality set the tone for a lovely evening. We started with the fish fingers, and they were a fantastic opener—crisp on the outside, flaky and well-seasoned inside, with just the right amount of spice to wake up the palate. Alongside, we ordered the chicken malai kebab, which turned out to be an absolute standout. Creamy, mildly spiced, and beautifully charred at the edges, it had that melt-in-the-mouth texture that's hard to get right, but the kitchen here nailed it. For mains, the egg briyani was a comforting, fragrant delight—each grain of rice infused with masala, and the boiled eggs cooked just enough to soak in the flavor without losing their texture. It's the kind of briyani that reminds you of home-style cooking, generous with spice but never overwhelming. We also tried the paneer 65, a vegetarian dish that more than held its own on a table full of meat dishes. Tangy, spicy, and perfectly crisp, it had that addictive quality where you keep going back for "just one more piece." It paired wonderfully with the tangy lime juice we ordered, which was fresh, not overly sweet, and the ideal palate cleanser between bites of all that spice. What stood out most was the consistency—every dish felt carefully made, not rushed, and the flavors were balanced rather than masked by heat alone. Portions were generous, prices reasonable, and the service attentive without being intrusive. Butter & Spice Katong is a great choice whether you're craving a quick comforting meal or want to introduce friends to vibrant Indian flavors. We'll definitely be back to try more from the menu. Highly recommended!"

"We've had 3 types of noodles. They were all very tasty. The beef was very tender and the soup was very rich. We liked all the side dishes. Some of the side dishes and drinks could be ordered as part of a set with noodles. For a side dish and a drink it's only 3.9 dollars more."

"We found this lovely restaurant on Google Maps with lots of good reviews so we decided to give it a try. Oh Sweet Oz, the dinner was beyond expectations, the fish cake here was the best we ever tried so far. So was the seafood soup and the stir-fry veggie. 🥦 Not just that, every staff member here was so welcome and friendly, they really made our night. ✨ And the service, the dine was ready in just a moment after submitting our order. 🫰🏻 We defiiiiiiiiitely will come back here to try everything on the menu."

"Food were great. We had beef pasta & 2 kinds of half pizza. Ended with Tiramisu. Portion were just nice & taste was nice. Not too heavy but for those who are used to lighter palette then this is heavier but still great old Italian food. Surrounding has the old family cottage vibe, even the outdoor sitting looks cosy. Unlike other restaurants, they do not serve water via tap. $2 free flow of sparkling & still water which was great. Good to say it out front despite only offering Sparkling & Still by default as much first timers will ask assuming that no one offer tap by default anyway. Look forward to try other kind of food in future. Thanks."

"Finally, a place that actually serves fresh food! You can really taste the difference—definitely not that pre-packaged frozen stuff. It’s like a proper home-cooked meal, simple but so comforting.
