"The food was excellent overall. The ribeye was cooked to a perfect rare, exactly as requested, and the accompanying sauce complemented the steak very well. The pizza was also impressively crispy and enjoyable. One thing to note: please keep the canned Coke chilled before serving. When a warm can is poured over ice, much of the carbonation escapes immediately, making the drink taste flat. The staff were very helpful and replaced my Coke three times. On the third attempt, the waiter brought me a properly chilled can, and that one had plenty of carbonation. Thank you for going the extra mile to make it right. Great service, great steak, and great pizza. I would definitely come back."

"First time eating here as my kid wanted to eat a buffet and ate here with his friends before. Overall felt that it was worth it as variety was good. You have both the BBQ and soup to cook your items and there is a spread of both cooked and uncooked items. Family enjoy the cooked stuff too and I especially liked the coffee chicken. Their service was also really good and constantly taking the used plate, toppinf up the soup and changing over the BBQ paper. Really a place worth returning for more meals and its a great place for gatherings too. Currently they have promotions for students and senior citizens too."

"I have heard quite a bit about Basil King, and after a strong recommendation from a colleague, I decided to give it a try. Basil King essentially serves rice topped with a sunny side up egg and your choice of meat, chicken, beef, pork, prawns, or pork belly. You can also select your preferred spice level, ranging from Level 1 (non-spicy) to Level 5. On top of that, diners can choose anywhere from a single egg to a rather eye-catching quadruple egg option, which definitely stands out. went with the double egg meal with basil pork at Level 1, playing it safe on the spice level. The eggs were skillfully done and aesthetically pleasing, with runny yolks that paired well with the white rice. However, the disappointment came from the basil pork. It lacked the distinct fragrance and taste of basil, tasting more like stir-fried minced pork served with rice and egg rather than a basil dish. My friend also ordered the basil pork with a single egg, but the yolk had already slipped out of the egg white. This made the overall presentation look inconsistent, suggesting that the standard and consistency might not be well maintained. All in all, the flavours did not quite meet my expectations, though it still makes for a filling meal. If you prefer a lighter basil fragrance, this might suit your taste."

"Located at the corner of the block, almost couldn't find it. I've been searching for good min jiang kueh, and I don't think the famous/popular chain with rave reviews is good (to be fair, some of my family/friends like it). I had the peanut one first, and I thought it was above average. The charcoal sesame was the one which blew me away. I enjoyed the nutty, crunchy and bittersweet taste of sesame. For once, sugar did not overpower sesame. The dough was also nice and chewy, instead of gooey/slimy. I noticed jars of peanut butter and sesame paste for sale. Will be getting those next time."

"I visited this yakiniku house for lunch on a weekday. The overall experience was functional, though the cost-performance ratio was average. Regarding the food, the quality of the meat is consistent with the price point; it is advisable not to have high expectations, but the portions are sufficient to ensure you leave feeling full. This establishment seems particularly well-suited for hungry students looking for a substantial, filling meal. One point to note is the service charge, which felt somewhat high relative to the level of service provided. Aside from the basic delivery of dishes to the table, there were no notable service interactions or extra hospitality during the visit. In summary, it is a practical choice for those prioritizing quantity over premium quality in a casual environment. If you are looking to satisfy a large appetite on a budget, this location fits that need, provided you account for the additional fees."

"The person who left a one star was right lol, the portion does not tele with the cost of the dish. Dont get fooled by the small medium large cos the actual portion differential is hard to measure but the upgrade cost is very apparent. I ordered medium large Zhi 鸡, for 24/27 dollars? The portion feels like it’s small! I wonder how small looks like. Good atmosphere to dine, but not so good service. The top up of side dish feels more “on demand” than auto. The bowl of fish in sizzling chilli feels overrated, 28 dollars for a few slices of fish. You go outside order fish soup can get even more fish than what they gave you. Fair point they give u a ton of ingredients which adds to visuals but obviously you can’t eat the chilli they give you. Beef salad was surprisingly more worth for money. Tofu I guess ok, good texture not so broken up. Nice cubes of tofu"

"I’m having dinner at Lazy Lizard right now, and it’s such a great find in the West Coast area. It has a very laid-back, welcoming vibe. Definitely a "hidden gem" for a chill neighborhood meal. The Food Duck Confit: This was the highlight for me. The duck is just as good as it looks in the photos, with the skin done perfectly. I absolutely love the sauce (Spicy Cumin Mango Chutney) it comes with; it’s a really interesting blend of sweet, fruity, and just a hint of spiciness. Classic Ribeye: A very reliable choice if you’re looking for a hearty steak. It was cooked well and satisfied that craving for a classic Western main. Pan Seared Halibut: This was a great lighter option. The fish was seared nicely, keeping it moist and flavourful. Menu Variety: They have a solid range of Western comfort food. Aside from these mains, they’ve got plenty of pasta, burgers, and pizzas, plus a good selection of craft beers. Service & Vibe The staff here are very friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. They were quick to help without being overbearing. It’s a very family-friendly spot, perfect for a casual dinner without any fuss."

"So many people recommend this restaurant because of their noodles 🍜 is hand made and quite tasty. In a Friday night we have dinner here We order the signature three beef treasures noodles which you can choose what kind of noodles you want. This is great and noodles are tender and better than most of the other restaurants. The sour fish vegetable pot is ok , the price is high but most of the side dish is fish ball and Industrialized crab sticks which not deserve 11.9 SGD. overall I think the price is high, food wise, noodles are recommended."

"Excellent Pork Chop and Pasta! Very well seasoned tender Pork Chops, nicely pan fried with a good amount of brown sauce. Wonderful Aglio Olio Pasta with lots of Garlic and Chilli Flakes. Very good value for hotel quality and generous portions."

"The seafood is quite fresh but the stingray is just too burnt in the base. It’s black burnt. The control of heat in cooking doesn’t seem so professional. Didn’t like that it was served on styrofoam plates. It’s actually not so healthy for the hot bbq to be placed onto styrofoam plates. The other food like sambal kangkong, bbq squid all taste as they should. Not any wow but it’s not bad. Portions are so so for the price. I guess you can eat it if you’re in the vicinity but don’t have to travel for it. The coffee shop also on & off black out, no fan on, no lights. It’s quite “hot & romantic” as you eat in the heat and darkness."

"★★★★★ Sakaba Igokochi delivered an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. Every dish was beautifully presented, fresh, and full of authentic Japanese flavours. The Omaka-Seh concept offers excellent value, especially with the free-flow drinks, making it perfect for celebrations or a night out with friends. A special thank you to Chef Angus and the entire team for their warm hospitality and attentive service. They made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the evening. We celebrated with a bottle of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2012, and together with the amazing food, great company, and wonderful conversations, it made for an unforgettable night. Highly recommended if you're looking for quality Japanese cuisine, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back."
