"We celebrated an early Mother's Day here and the staff were so attentive. Throughout the dinner, they refilled our water several times and also quickly attended to us when we needed their help. Special shout out to Eric & Paul for their great service. All the food we ordered were good :) Our favourites were the Tom Yum Pasta, Ribeye Steak, Okonomiyaki Pizza and Pork Knuckle. Would recommend this place for a family or friends gathering especially on a weekday night."

"We hosted a private after-party at Tanglin Gin Jungle last weekend, and it was truly the best experience ever. The staff were nothing short of amazing — especially Serin, who was incredibly understanding, open to ideas, and always prioritized our needs. The food was fantastic as well; our guests especially loved the cream salmon and the dry laksa. My husband and I couldn’t be happier with our choice to host our party here, and we’ll definitely be visiting again!"

"I recently had a fantastic meal at **Da Paolo Dempsey Restaurant & Bar**, and it truly exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for an upscale yet relaxed dining experience in the heart of Dempsey Hill, this is the place to be. From the moment we arrived, the **service was excellent**. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu, making the entire afternoon feel special. The atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating area with its beautiful terrazzo tables, provides a perfect lush backdrop for a long lunch. Now, let’s talk about the food, which was simply **delicious**. We started with their **meatballs in tomato sauce**. They were incredibly tender and flavorful, served in a rich, vibrant pomodoro sauce that tasted like it had been simmering for hours. The addition of small dollops of creamy cheese on top provided a wonderful contrast to the savory meat. For the main event, the **seafood pizza** was a standout. The crust was perfectly charred with that signature wood-fired leopard spotting—crispy on the outside while remaining light and airy. It was generously topped with fresh scallops, squid, and mussels, all seasoned with a touch of garlic and herbs. You can really taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients in every bite. Overall, everything from the ambiance to the flavors was top-notch. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Da Paolo Dempsey is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic, well-executed Italian cuisine. I’ll definitely be back soon!"

"“We were served by Syafiq, who was very welcoming and patient throughout our visit. Afad also came by to check on us, which made us feel well taken care of. We had a pleasant dining experience at the restaurant. My mum especially enjoyed the laksa pasta — the flavour was unique and something different from the usual.”"

"4.25/5 We visited many years ago and still remember several dishes from that meal, including the ter kar beehoon, which my mother still recalls as the best she has had. The pork trotters were tender, well-cooked, and very flavourful. The fish soup was rather bland and unremarkable. The Singapore-style chilli prawns, however, were less impressive, coming across as overly tangy and ketchup-forward but the har cheong sotong was excellent, they were crisp and addictive, with the fermented prawn flavour distinct without being overpowering. The cabbage in fish sauce was also flavourful with good wok hei, and the chendol panna cotta was a successful modern reinterpretation of a local dessert. Revisiting the restaurant recently via delivery, I was pleasantly surprised that it has maintained its standards over the years. While a few dishes were not quite as memorable as before, the overall quality remains high, which is no small feat after such a long time. We also ordered the pig trotters beehoon this time. As I usually don’t eat much pork, I only tried the beehoon, while my mother felt the pork trotters were not quite as good as she remembered. The beehoon itself was still very enjoyable. The prawn tanghoon was a pleasant surprise. It absorbed the flavours of the broth well and was one of the better versions I’ve had in Singapore, though still ranked below Som Sak Pu Ob. Each portion came with three fairly large prawns. The seafood fried rice was competent, with noticeable wok hei and a generous amount of ingredients, including squid, two small scallops, and several large prawns. While most of the seafood tasted reasonably fresh, it lacked the natural sweetness of higher-quality seafood, suggesting frozen ingredients may have been used. The portions were generous, and the packaging was well sealed with cling wrap, preventing any spills. Overall, the food travelled well and remained enjoyable even via delivery. I would be happy to revisit in the future to try more of their dishes."

"fish & chips was great! the chips were nicely fried on the outside, tender and fluffy on the inside. it came under seasoned, but love that they provided malt vinegar and sea salt at the table for us to season to our liking! the fish was tender and flaky with a light and crispy batter. mushy peas was pretty flavourful too! i really enjoyed the bangers and mash. the sausages were so flavourful, and grilled till it formed a nice crust on the outside. the sausage and gravy were on the saltier side, but at least the mash was slightly under-seasoned. the place was outdoor seating, but there were plenty of fans and coolers. the service staff were all friendly and helpful."

"Sip, Dine, Repeat – A Perfect Evening at Wine Connection I recently visited Wine Connection, and it was a really pleasant experience. The restaurant is located inside a shopping mall, which usually closes around 10 PM. But the best part is that the restaurant has an outdoor seating area that stays open late. We decided to sit outside in the open area, and it made the evening even more enjoyable. The ambience is beautiful and relaxed. It feels stylish but not overdone. The staff were amazing—very courteous, attentive, and friendly. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food menu is not very large, but I would say it is well selected. Every dish feels thoughtfully chosen rather than overloaded with too many options. On the other hand, their wine collection is impressive. Even though I am more of a beer person, I could see why wine lovers enjoy this place so much. The staff also suggested a wine pairing with one of the meals, and it matched beautifully. The food itself was flavorful and well prepared. Everything tasted fresh and balanced. This was my first visit, and now I understand why this place is so popular among both residents and tourists. It offers good food, great drinks, and a comfortable atmosphere—perfect for a relaxed evening out."

"Here for the scones of coz 😋 After being away for 3 years, the taste of the scone here remains! Goes best with the light n airy clotted cream. Each scone is huge at S$6 totally worth it! Love the eggs Ben on sourdough and onion soup too. Their onion soup is authentic; it has lesser onion, not as thick and sweet."
