The architect also effectively incorporated my requests into the blueprints, and I'm happy with the floor plan. The house is warm even with the heating off. I also like the open-ceiling ceiling. However, the site management was lackluster. Our requests didn't reach the subcontractors. Additional work was contracted after the contract was signed. Even when I pointed out areas where the workmanship wasn't satisfactory, they didn't understand. There was supposed to be a client inspection before handover, but there wasn't. Areas that could get dirty weren't protected, so the house was handed over in a dirty state. They cleaned it up afterwards, but it still wasn't clean, so we had to give up. The subcontracted carpenters worked hard. I should have been more forthcoming and asked the carpenters and the sales representative about even the smallest details. The site supervisor didn't seem to visit the site often, so..."
