"I got 10 /14 for my SW English weighted assessment 3. This was an improvement and my teacher in school praised me. My Geniebook teacher is very nice she just interacts with us. Her name is teacher Rose she explains the topics clearly and helps us with the areas we are not very good at."

"Highly recommend this school! If you bring up any issues, they’ll do their best to help you — of course, the key is that you need to voice your concerns; otherwise, they won’t know. Personally, I only care about whether I’m learning in class. Even if the teacher throws a party during the lesson, as long as I’m learning, I’m happy. The classes where I didn’t learn much usually lacked the following teaching techniques: proper time management for activities, smooth transitions between tasks, diverse learning strategies, clear explanations, exercises that are appropriately challenging for the students’ level (within the zone of proximal development), and constant attention to students’ learning progress. What I can’t accept is when teachers assign tasks and then just scroll through their phones on the side — even if they claim they’re looking up grammar rules, shouldn’t that prep work be done before class? When I gave specific feedback about these issues to the school, they didn’t seem to care about what was being taught, how it was taught, or how the students were progressing. All they said was that all teachers are qualified. They only seemed concerned about students skipping class or switching classes (because they weren’t learning anything). Not everyone has the ability to assess a teacher’s skill level, but I happen to have that expertise. I appreciate the school’s attempt to help me switch classes, though my stay was too short to give a full five-star rating. That said, the communication process was uncomfortable. The administrative staff kept implying that everything was my fault — that I wasn’t a good student, or that I wasn’t trying hard enough. Still, since they eventually addressed the teaching concerns, I accepted the outcome. My intention was always to communicate rationally and sincerely to solve the problem, ensuring I wasn’t wasting my time and tuition. However, during our conversations, the school staff told me two lies. If they feel the need to lie about small matters, how can I trust them on the bigger ones? I realized that honest dialogue wasn’t possible, so I left my review as a response. Everything I’ve said is true, including the 50/50 chance of getting a good teacher. The top-tier teachers I encountered matched my star ratings — rare, but a true gem when you find one. Being taught by such excellent teachers made me feel my progress every day, which was incredibly satisfying. Every school has its issues with teaching staff, but at least this school is willing to address them, so I’d still recommend it. For students who want to stand up for their right to learn: if you encounter a teacher you’re learning nothing from, speak up within three days. Don’t wait one or two weeks like I did — the school isn’t capable of proactively identifying classroom issues. Here are some channels for formal complaints — remember to prepare classroom records, testimonies from other students, and other evidence: 1. Report to the school’s academic director. 2. Report to the school’s owner. 3. International Education Appeal Authority (IEAA). 4. Ministry of Education, New Zealand. 5. New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA)."

"The lessons have been very useful for both children. They have gained confidence in their learning and developed a better understanding of the subjects they were studying. I was particularly happy that the programme was tailored to each child's individual level and needs. It helped them build on their strengths while also improving areas where they needed extra support. I feel this personalised approach was one of the most valuable aspects of their Kip experience. Thank you again for all your support and encouragement. We really appreciate everything the team has done for both children."

"She tutored my niece in Math and Science when she was struggling badly in both subjects and barely passing. My niece had difficulty understanding the concepts, and we had already tried different tutors and tuition centres. What stood out was her unique way of teaching and connecting with my niece. She explains concepts clearly and patiently, making lessons engaging and easy to understand. Over time, my niece became genuinely interested and motivated in both subjects. To my surprise, she even started revising on her own initiative. Her grades improved tremendously, from failing to achieving good results in both Math and Science. She truly has a passion for teaching and goes the extra mile for her student"

"Mr Koh is an excellent tuition teacher who is both highly efficient and incredibly patient. He has a rare ability to spot fundamental misconceptions almost instantly, even when I did not realise where I was going wrong. Instead of simply correcting the answer, he takes the time to explain the root of the misunderstanding clearly and patiently, making sure the concept is properly fixed before moving on. His lessons are focused, productive, and very well-paced. I really appreciate how he breaks down difficult topics into simple, manageable steps, which has helped me build much stronger confidence and understanding. Mr Koh is the kind of teacher who does not just help you improve your grades, but also helps you truly understand the subject. Highly recommended!"
