"Dining at Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine was an excellent gastronomic experience and a genuine immersion into the traditional cooking of Hunan province — bold, precise, and deeply satisfying from start to finish. Starters: The cold cucumber salad was refreshing and crisp, yet layered with deep umami undertones and a lively heat that lingered pleasantly on the palate. Equally impressive was the warm cabbage salad. The cabbage had been brought to a point of perfect tenderness — soft yet retaining a satisfying firmness and flavour. Main Courses The lemon, Sichuan and chilli-scented fish soup was also a tasty and original dish. The fish had a silky but firm texture. Its flesh carried a naturally delicate flavor, beautifully elevated by citrus notes of lemon and the warmth of Sichuan spice and chilli. The vegetables accompanying the soup were equally well-cooked, tended and flavourful. The sautéed beef with confit garlic and chilli was bold and satisfying. The confit garlic lent a mellow sweetness that rounded out the heat of the chilli, resulting in a dish that was generous in flavour. Desserts The fried mochi filled with melting cane sugar delivered a genuinely exciting interplay of textures: a golden, crispy exterior giving way to the characteristic elasticity of the mochi, before yielding to a warm, flowing molten sugar cane. The steamed bao buns filled with walnut cream were cloud-soft and pillowy on the outside, they concealed a rich, velvety walnut cream. Service & Atmosphere The service throughout the evening was attentive, warm, and remarkably efficient — a balance that is harder to achieve than it appears. The atmosphere was relaxed, unpretentious and family-friendly."

"Fabulous canton cuisine served in claypot style. Everything we tried was superb and tasty. Special mention to the sesame chicken, tomato chicken and sabo tofu. If you order Chinese tea, it is refillable. Sits about 30 tables here. Located at B1 of the main food court thus it could get noisy due to enclosed space. Service was attentive and fast. Highly recommended."

"Great place! It was darn bloody good that my family had to wait for 15 min to be seated. Can't be blamed since we went there during the peak hours. Lunch hour. But I would like to take this opportunity to thank my wife for letting me choose lunch for the family. The food was great! It was a shame that I didn't order more. Their kids meal was the right size for my 2 small kids. They loved their kids meal. We we getting ourselves ready for the thinking that the seating area would be super warm since they were packed. But fortunatly the restaurant a/c held out well. Their main dish, pork rib soup, oh~ the soup was flavourful, peppery taste, but yet, not that spicy. I was pleasantly surprised when we could ask for a refill for the soup with no additional charges. Thumbs up for that. Usually, other restaurants/stall will reject your request and insist that you buy another serving just to taste the soup again. The pig stomach soup is also a dish to die for! The tenderness of the meat, chewy, yet light on your jaw. Paired with the steamy rice. O.M.G... I couldn't bear to leave the restaurant even after finishing my food. If not for my kids, I would have order another round just to stay and eat once more. For the price we paid, it was a little expensive, but worth the taste."

"The cafe is located opposite Tram Station 4. Please alight and head down to Level 1 where the cafe is situated. We are a group of children and educators visiting the zoo on a weekday, and during lunch, I had a truly pleasant experience at the cafe. When I entered, Guek Teng, the supervisor of the cafe, warmly welcomed me and was extremely accommodating when I requested a bulk order. She immediately arranged a designated seating area for our group of children and adults, ensuring everyone was comfortable. To my surprise, she even offered a small souvenir pouch for every one of us. Guek Teng and her team showed excellent teamwork and efficiency in preparing such a large number of meals, and the food was absolutely delicious. I am deeply grateful for Guek Teng's kindness and warmth toward us. The cafe felt wonderfully cozy, especially after a long and tiring day outdoors. Thank you very much, Guek Teng and the entire team. I truly appreciate your outstanding service."

"We had a wonderful 2D1N stay from 7–8 March 2026. Overall, it was an excellent experience. Our sanctuary -facing room was thoughtfully designed. Although the bathroom vanity is open concept, the toilet and shower can be fully closed with sliding wooden doors, which worked very well for our family with a boy and a girl. The room also has retractable mosquito netting and a ceiling fan in addition to air-conditioning, allowing natural ventilation without worrying about insects. The in-room pantry cart was very convenient, with a Nespresso machine, mini fridge, and a water dispenser providing room-temperature and hot water. Slippers were good quality, and kids’ slippers and toothbrushes were provided. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a birthday cake waiting in the room upon check-in, which was a very thoughtful touch. Service was excellent. A special mention to Ms Christine Thexeira, one of the Hospitality Ambassadors. She kindly gave us a buggy ride while introducing the resort and was wonderful interacting with my kids. We met her again at checkout and she assisted us at the lobby desk. Her warmth and professionalism really stood out. Dinner and breakfast at Planter’s Shed were excellent, with quality seafood such as abalone, scallops and sea cucumber, as well as delicious local dishes like laksa and prawn noodles. A few small suggestions for improvement: the room and curtains were slightly dusty, hooks or a small ledge in the toilet would be useful, and the kids’ slippers were too small for primary school-aged children. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay — one night definitely wasn’t enough. We look forward to returning for a longer stay in the future."
