Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree

We had a wonderful 2D1N stay from 7–8 March 2026. Overall, it was an excellent experience. Our sanctuary -facing room was thoughtfully designed. Although the bathroom vanity is open concept, the toilet and shower can be fully closed with sliding wooden doors, which worked very well for our family with a boy and a girl. The room also has retractable mosquito netting and a ceiling fan in addition to air-conditioning, allowing natural ventilation without worrying about insects. The in-room pantry cart was very convenient, with a Nespresso machine, mini fridge, and a water dispenser providing room-temperature and hot water. Slippers were good quality, and kids’ slippers and toothbrushes were provided. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a birthday cake waiting in the room upon check-in, which was a very thoughtful touch. Service was excellent. A special mention to Ms Christine Thexeira, one of the Hospitality Ambassadors. She kindly gave us a buggy ride while introducing the resort and was wonderful interacting with my kids. We met her again at checkout and she assisted us at the lobby desk. Her warmth and professionalism really stood out. Dinner and breakfast at Planter’s Shed were excellent, with quality seafood such as abalone, scallops and sea cucumber, as well as delicious local dishes like laksa and prawn noodles. A few small suggestions for improvement: the room and curtains were slightly dusty, hooks or a small ledge in the toilet would be useful, and the kids’ slippers were too small for primary school-aged children. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay — one night definitely wasn’t enough. We look forward to returning for a longer stay in the future.

Beautiful resort! Very thoughtfully designed in terms of fully sheltered walkways and shuttles to various Mandai attractions. Dining options are great too! We stayed in the king room, which was the perfect size for a family of 3 (two adults one 2.5YO). Would highly recommend to local families who intend to visit the Zoo/River Wonders/Bird Paradise and make a staycation out of it. And to tourists who want to situate themselves in nature whilst having lots of eateries and play options nearby. Our son also got to see many helicopters from the rooftop pool - definitely a highlight for him :)

We had such a wonderful stay here for a birthday celebration! The room was clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. The kids really enjoyed their stay and had an amazing time throughout. Check in was smooth which made the experience even better from the start. All the staff were warm and welcoming, especially Priya from the restaurant during our breakfast buffet. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating, which made our morning so pleasant.

We had an awesome time at this brand new resort in Mandai which feels like you’ve left S’pore to a remote place in nature. Rooms were great and the architecture and design of the hotel is truly unique. It blends well into the forested area and I saw so much wildlife around the site. Staff and service was first class especially Kristine who personally handled our visit so diligently. 2 extra pluses: 1 it’s connected to Mandai broad walk so you can access this early before crowds arrive 2. Rooms are designed to be elderly friendly so for those who have aged parents needing a break from urban life, this is better than Sentosa in my view

We had a fantastic and memorable experience at Mandai RR recently. From room to service and food/refreshments were exceptional. Our room had the view of the beautiful lake, which is definitely worth the extra cost. Clean and well equipped with nice amenities: I love the large bath towels plus moisturising lotion most. Practically every staff we met were hospitable with a high sense of service. Not just well trained, I think the Management made a conscious effort to hire only the right people for the job. I'd like to thank Ali, Talissa, Tack, Johnathan and Leonard for making our stay so pleasant and sweet. Not forgetting Jinxin, the shuttle bus driver who was most gracious and respectful towards the passengers (even he wants to contribute his service to ensure a positive experience to MRR clients!!) I must highlight the top notch customer service that Leonard provided. He gave very clear, thoughtful instructions re shuttle service from Khatib to MRR (via WhatsApp). He came immediately to fetch us from the zoo to the resort when we called for the buggy service one night. He was also concerned if I managed to get the shuttle bus easily and checked if our stay was alright. All these made us feel like valued customers.
