  "I attended Meow 10 years ago. I wasn’t good at Chinese at all and my parents paid for my tuition here. We didn’t speak it at home, and neither of my parents spoke Chinese. We came here to improve that. There was a female teacher with short hair (one of the owners I think). When I collected my O Level Chinese results I got a massive failing grade - an E8. The following week, I didn’t attend the final class. She heard about the failing grade I got from one of my classmates, and she said, “She’s not good at Chinese. She won’t be successful in life.” She was always sort of mean to me during the classes as well, because I’d always fail the lessons despite trying my best. Those words I hold deep in my heart until this day. It was ten years ago. I proceeded to easily get offers from NUS, NTU, and SMU, and I have a great job now. I’m saying this now because, as an adult, I realised that what she said was uncalled for. This is not how you treat and encourage your students as a teacher. I hope she no longer does this, and I speak for all the other students that have been treated this way."
