"Phonics Essentials gives a very good training for teachers and parents who teach reading and writing to their kids and students. I attended 3-days online training and extremely satisfied. "when i first joined in sec 2, i always failed my math papers, and even got a 7/20 for my Wa1. however after joining, i got a A1 for olevels emaths in the end! my tutor made every lesson very interesting even though it was online, which allowed me to pay attention and not get distracted during class. He also taught us hacks such as a song to memorise the quadratic formula equation which helped me a lot. I think the lessons are very beneficial, and i felt that i made the right choice joining his class!! credits to mr bern ong of 88tuition for making this possible :)"

"It's aite if you just want somewhere to go and teach a little and earn money for a while. The learning curve is steep as heck and the students are fine if you like teaching. It's just that there are serious issues with comms (you can be asked to teach different subjects or topics out of the blue and no one really listens even if you are unhappy with it), everyone seems a little confused all of the time. As a local, I can testify for the comment on international indians having their own teaching methods and occasional clashes that will either be silenced or cannot occur in front of the students. There's very little career progression too and the admissions are not very strict, meaning it's mostly a place for people to do an entry level job before moving on to something better or a next phase of their life. If you keep it here for many years it's unlikely that you'll move up anywhere. So, like, decent stuff if you have reasonably low standards and just want to kill some time, but there are cracks in the system lah"
