"Before Mr Lim I was barely scraping an S for H2 Math and not feeling great about it. By the time A Levels came around I walked away with an A, and his lessons were a huge part of why. What I loved most about Mr Lim was how genuinely fun his classes were. Math can feel really dry and stressful, but he had this energy that made lessons something I actually looked forward to. One thing that stuck with me was how he would give incentives for getting answers right during class. It sounds like a small thing but it made everyone so much more engaged, and honestly a little competitive in the best way. It made topics like permutations and combinations, which I used to dread, feel way more enjoyable to work through. He was also incredibly approachable. I never once felt awkward asking a question or admitting I had no idea what was going on. With vectors especially, which was a topic I really struggled with, he was so patient in breaking things down and made sure I actually got it before moving on. Going from an S to an A was something I genuinely did not think was on the cards for me. Mr Lim made me believe it was possible, and then helped me get there. Really grateful for that."

"Desmond is one of the best chemistry teachers that I have ever had! He supported me through my entire IB Chemistry HL journey, and his lesson were not only clear and effective but very engaging. She is always encouraging and takes the time to provide very clear, step by step explanations for every question. "I was taught by Joseph throughout Secondary and High School. AO Studies helped me develop my Chemistry skills from barely passing in Secondary 1 Chemistry (JIP), to attaining a Level 7 in IB HL Chemistry. Not only was he a patient teacher who dedicated time to make sure I fully understood concepts, he was also willing to answer questions outside of class, which helped me greatly during exam seasons. His lessons were extremely productive and information was conveyed very clearly. He was also very experienced in the IB syllabus, and helped me understand how to go about my coursework better. AO studies is also a great environment to learn and study in, and I benefitted greatly from free access to the study area and facilities during my final year."

"I started chemistry lessons with Joel during my first year of JC. Prior to these lessons I did not thrive in this subject and usually struggled during the learning process. His lessons allowed me to improve tremendously and further secured an A grade for all my chemistry exams. From the outset, his lessons were targeted and palatable. It effectively imparted key concepts and empowered me with the knowledge and techniques to solve most, if not all, of the questions in the syllabus. What I found most helpful was his extensive breadth of knowledge and key understanding of the actual academic syllabus.
