Yardbird Southern Table and Bar

If you are visiting Singapore from overseas and staying around Marina Bay Sands, this is one restaurant you seriously should not miss — Yardbird Southern Table & Bar. Their famous Chicken ‘N’ Watermelon ‘N’ Waffles is truly a must-try dish and now I understand why so many people recommend it. The fried chicken was incredibly crispy on the outside yet still juicy and tender inside, seasoned so well with that comforting Southern flavour. Paired together with the soft warm waffles and a slight sweetness from the watermelon, the combination was surprisingly addictive. Once you pour the maple syrup over everything, it becomes that perfect sweet and savoury mix that makes every bite so satisfying. What I also loved was that the dish comes with vegetables on the side, which balanced the heaviness nicely and made the meal feel complete instead of too greasy. Every component on the plate worked together so well. The restaurant itself has a very lively American Southern dining atmosphere — spacious, stylish and welcoming. Service was attentive and the staff were friendly in recommending their signature dishes. It is one of those places where you can sit down, relax and really enjoy a hearty meal with family or friends after a day of sightseeing. Honestly, this is not just ordinary fried chicken and waffles. Yardbird does it on another level with quality ingredients and rich flavour. Everybody coming from overseas should put this on the must-eat list because it gives you something different from the usual local food, and the taste is memorable enough that you will still think about it after leaving Singapore. Highly recommended and definitely no regret trying this place.

Came here on mother's day just to try the chicken and waffle. Chicken is quite delicious and tender, but waffle was kinda left out in the cold for some time. Pork ribs was on point. Chicken steaks (beef) was interesting. Mac n cheese,cornbread and brussels were good. Drinks were good. Watermelon mojito was kind of on the sweeter side, too sweet for the liking. Service was friendly and welcoming. All the food almost came out together in less than 10 minutes. It would be nice that they serve the appetisers and small bites first instead of everything at once. Restaurant was big and well designed. Bar and lightings were beautiful.

I had a fantastic lunch at Yardbird Southern Table and Bar. The standout was undoubtedly The Great American Burger—it was absolutely delicious and executed to perfection. The patty was incredibly juicy and flavorful, complemented by high-quality toppings and a perfectly toasted bun that held everything together beautifully. Beyond the food, the overall experience was elevated by the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, professional, and ensured that every part of the meal went smoothly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is vibrant and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for a high-quality mid-day meal. If you are looking for a place that delivers consistent excellence in both American Southern-inspired cuisine and hospitality, Yardbird is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu, though it will be hard to pass up that burger again. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a top-tier dining experience.

Yardbird MBS delivers comfort with a touch of class. The fried chicken and waffles are a standout. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy within, and paired with fluffy waffles that soak up every bit of bourbon syrupy goodness. The watermelon cubes add a refreshing twist, balancing the richness of the dish. The crab cake impresses with its golden crust and tender interior, complemented by a tangy, spiced sauce that elevates each bite. Service is warm, and the presentation feels upscale yet inviting.

Love the quality of food, wish still water would be complimentary, continue to charge for sparkling. Wish that the fried chicken dish could be served with some greens. Kids meal burger was quite sad without pickle and mustard, I thought at the least to include some lettuce and onion instead of having it ‘empty’. Lettuce and mango salad could be offered with more generous tomatoes. Sitting area in the corner was cozy but quite dark, difficult to see what were eating. Love the waiter/waitress, especially those who takes order as they know the dishes well, able to articulate the menu items.
