Yakiniku Like (Compass One)

Posting this here since the official online form have an unknown word limit: I visited YakinikuLike branch at CompassOne last evening for dinner. I have visited this branch occasionally, however the latest experience was bad. The main issue is that the built in bbq stove is hardly producing enough cooking heat anymore even at the highest setting. I have already noticed this from past visits since a couple of years ago, however this time the deteoriation of the stove was very noticeable. Meat hardly sizzles when placed onto the grill at the highest setting, and it takes ages to get even thin meat cuts cooked. Moreover prolonged cooking time just dries out the meat, in my opinion. To make matters worse, this branch stipulated a 50min dining time limit. I’ve looked around at other diners and it appears to be the same situation all around: nobody’s stove was hot enough, and there were even hardly any cooking smell in the air. My personal opinion is that this may also cause a food safety issue in the event a diner is impatient and undercooks the meat while trying to hurry. Nonetheless, it took us 1.5hours to finish our order of 2 sets plus one ala carte meat platter - by which time we weren’t really enjoying the meal anymore and was just trying to end our session and get out of there. From a business point of view, the table turnover rate must have been poor, no? For your information and action.

Ordered the weekday lunch beef set. Tasty and 150g portion of was just nice for me. Staff, Ivy is helpful and friendly. Guided me in signing up membership. Thank you!

We had a great experience with Ivy. She was super polite and patient. While helping us with our food order over the phone. Even though we were slow, she was really understanding and make the process smooth. She also guided us in signing membership. Thanks for having a great staff!👍🏻

every month I will bring my family to eat about 3-4 times. However, I notice that their condiments especially the BBQ sauce is diluted. The taste is Not as nice as the past. And the pork belly meat. It’s getting more fats than the meat itself. The photo is just one example. I had received a plate that’s even worst than this, 90% fats and 10% meat. Forgotten to take photo to show. Disappointing.

Return customer. All staff are nice. Especially Ivy in Compass One outlet, very warm welcoming and friendly and always introduce new items in the outlet to us. Today brought a member of family to enjoy.
