Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine

Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine is one of those places we’ve been back to a few times — and we still enjoy it every visit. The food is really good, with bold Hunan flavours that are very satisfying. We’ve tried quite a few dishes — their signature Hunan stir-fry pork, golden broth sour and spicy fish, stir-fry organic cauliflower, claypot tofu stew, dry tossed vermicelli pot, olive green bean delight, stir-fry spicy cabbage, and stir-fried tender chicken with old ginger. Our favourite is the dry tossed vermicelli — very flavourful and easy to keep eating. Service is also really good. The staff are attentive and make the whole experience feel very comfortable. They also have free snacks and ice cream, which is a nice touch. The lime flavour is especially refreshing. A place we’ll definitely keep coming back to for Hunan food.

Food taste nice but somehow quite oily.. Services quite ok.. location inside Bedok Mall.. previously Hai Di Lao.. Quite some diners inside and crowd outside the restaurant. So better to come earlier to get a queue or booking. Inside the restaurant air-conditioning was a disappointment.. Was perspiration while eating even they did provide a small fan to help us cool down a bit.. but we need to pass the fan around.. 🤦🤦 Restaurant not very big.. but seriously the Aircon needs to do something..

Had this at bedok mall. Good place for consistent good china food. Love the brinjo and century egg appetitser. Hunan stirfry pork: good, as usual. Golden broth sour spicy fish: okay. Didnt wow. Tangy stirfry bamboo shoots: not my thing but my aunt loves it. Says its amazing with rice. Overall okie. Sign up for the membership, more value for money.

The dishes were bold and flavourful, with the classic spicy and fragrant profile that Hunan food is known for. Everything tasted freshly cooked and nicely balanced, especially if you enjoy chilli heat. Definitely a place I’d return to when craving proper 湘菜.

Really enjoyed the food at Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine. Portion is really big. Ordered: - Golden Broth Sour Spicy Fish The fish was very tender and the broth was tangy and spicy — super appetising and great with rice. - Hunan Stir Fry Pork (Iberico pork belly & lean pork) The stir-fried pork was fragrant and nicely balanced with both fatty and lean pieces. - Sour Spicy Potato. The sour spicy potato was crunchy and fresh, though it wasn’t as sour as I personally prefer. We also tried the Bursting Mochi Brown Sugar for dessert, which was chewy and sweet~ A nice ending to the meal. Overall a great spot for flavourful Hunan cuisine. Will come back again!
