Winners Education Centre - The Chemistry Specialist

I’m really thankful to Mr Chua from Winners Education for completely changing the way I see Chemistry. I went from a C6 in my Sec 3 EOYs to an A1 in O-Level Chemistry, and I also gained interest in the subject along the way. Mr Chua’s teaching is very clear and easy to understand. He focuses on understanding instead of memorising, so Chemistry doesn’t feel like a subject you need to mug for. His notes are so well-organised and his explanations are so clear that I barely had to study much outside of class, everything just made sense. He also uses simple analogies to explain difficult concepts, which really helped me remember and apply what I learned during exams. Because of his teaching, Chemistry became much less stressful and even somewhat enjoyable. I would highly recommend Mr Chua and Winners Education to anyone who wants to truly understand Chemistry and improve their results.

Before joining Winner’s Education, my son barely understood Chemistry and scored only a C6 in his Sec 3 EOY, despite putting in a lot of effort and one-on-one home tuition. After enrolling in Winner’s Chemistry classes with Mr. Chua, he improved by leaps and bounds. He started enjoying the subject—even tough topics like Organic Chemistry became a breeze. Mr. Chua emphasizes deep understanding over rote memorization, using first-class teaching methods that make Chemistry fun and accessible. I noticed my son was no longer stressed by it, increased in confidence, spent very little time revising outside class, and still achieved an A1. In fact, he only attended Mr. Chua's classes, did Mr Chua’s weekly assignments (takes only 10-15 mins to do each assignment), and practiced TYS—and that was enough for an A1. No additional textbooks, guidebooks, assessment books, school materials or prelim papers from other schools were needed; Mr Chua’s notes, assignments and TYS (answers written by Mr Chua) cover everything required for O Levels. As my son puts it, Mr. Chua’s approach is all about understanding, not memorizing. Mr. Chua’s methods significantly reduced the time my son spent revising Chemistry and removed A LOT of stress from O-Level exam preparation, freeing up time for him to focus on other memory-heavy subjects like history. Best of all, it wasn’t just about the A1 — it was a huge relief to see my son genuinely enjoy Chemistry, free from stress, and develop a solid grasp of it. My son joined at the start of Sec 3 Term 4 (12 weeks before SA2 exam) with a D7 for his Chemistry SA1 exam. The transformation in just 12 lessons has been incredible—he achieved a B4 in his SA2 exam! What impressed me most is his feedback on Mr. Chua’s teaching. When I ask if anyone raises questions in Mr Chua’s class, he says there’s no need because Mr. Chua explains everything so explicitly and clearly from the start. My son started with Winners Education under Mr Chua after his first Weighted Assessment in secondary school, where he scored a C6 for Pure Chemistry—just a borderline pass.
