TungLok Peking Duck

Candid review of my CNY Reunion lunch today 15 Feb 2026. Upon arrival our tables of 11 & 12 pax was set for two tables of 10 pax only despite reminder 2 days ago and booking made more than 2 months ago. Our 2 tables was squeezed in main dining hall w no room to move and chairs knocking other diners' chairs. Was so disappointed and expressed to staff and Manager who both insisted private room cannot fit big tables of 12 & 11pax. After two rounds of feedback Manager managed to turn around and gave us the Private Room, unsure why it was not offered to us and if it's already booked by others how could it be changed. Anyway we are so glad and truly grateful w her efforts of making the change for us. Had the $798++ menu, food quality was average. Salmon and fish skin quantity was good in Yu Sheng but salad was so little, it was only 50% amount of salad only. Lo Hei Prosperity speech was hurried, lack prosperous festive cheers . Peking Duck the menu highlight was not carved infront of us in trolley another huge disappointment, staff explained bc it's too crowded and trolley too big. Tables are cramped to the brim during CNY Festive at diners' comfort expense ~ a let down with Tunglok usual high standard and totally different from past years@ CNY Reunion dining w Tunglok too. Special gift was Nian gao 3/10, no presentation and it's just deep fried with nothing else. Katrina who served our table is double thumbs up, very efficient, polite, keeps us informed constantly, cheerful and helpful despite being busy. We are unlikely to return again anytime soon.

Fenny manager and all the staffs namely Chun Rong , Jacky and Xiao hui were wonderful! They were prompt to provide services not only to our table but to other tables as well. Excellent food with their hospitality definitely make it not just a return trip but many more. Well done team!

The duck itself was not bad — skin was crispy, meat tender, and overall quite enjoyable. Presentation with the pancakes, sauces, and condiments was done nicely too. That said, the main menu is on the pricey side. Unless you specifically ask, they won’t show you the cheaper 小炒 (stir-fry) menu, which is a pity because it offers more affordable options. Most of the main dishes outside of that are rather expensive, so the bill can add up quickly. Service was a little slow and staff were not very attentive for this level price of restaurant.

great place...the peking duck is a must order and it pairs really well with the xo noodles. food is really tasty.. staff are really friendly and they try their best despite the restaurant being packed... best to go during off peak hours if you want to have a good time great for gatherings and large groups

Visited the restaurant on Sunday, 6 July, and it was an unforgettable dining experience from start to finish. We came for the much-raved-about Peking Duck, and it truly lived up to its reputation, arguably the best in town! Perfectly roasted with crisp skin and tender, juicy meat, each bite was bursting with flavour. The Chilli Crab was another standout. The crab meat was firm, sweet, and fresh, and the dish was beautifully presented, making it both a treat for the eyes and the palate. Other dishes we loved: 1. Salted Egg Prawns with Cereal Oats 2. Stir-fried Prawn Paste & Asparagus with Yu Xiang Sauce 3. Wok-fried French Bean, Bacon & Clam with Chili Paste 4. Glutinous Chicken Rice with Abalone Everything was delicious and decadent. But what really made our visit special was the exceptional service. Special thanks to Fenny (Restaurant Manager) and Lisa for their warm, attentive service. We felt truly well taken care of. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the wonderful hospitality!
