Came with friend and his parents and ordered the platter for 2 pax shared with 4 people . It’s not just chicken – the platter actually comes with a good mix of items, which makes it great for sharing. There were four different chicken styles (grilled, fried, crispy with crumbs, and chicken rendang). The rendang chicken was rich and fragrant, slightly creamy and not too spicy. The grilled chicken had a nice sweet smoky flavour, while the fried chicken was crispy and juicy. Besides the chicken, the platter also came with keropok, tofu, perkedel (potato fritter), vegetables, sambal, and rice, so it felt like a complete nasi campur set for a group. Good variety and quite filling. Portion size was generous and value for money for 4 people. Service was fast. The shop is cosy . Overall, a nice heartland Indonesian spot for group dining with good variety in one platter.
Everything (rendang, Ayam goreng, oxtail soup) we had was very good, I’m glad to have found this gem cuz it’s indeed one of the better Indo food places in sg, I’ll definitely return for more :) And also it’s very value for money for the quality of food. Staff (teenage boy w glasses, didn’t manage to get his name) was also very friendly and helpful. He was very professional and had a great service attitude 🙂↕️ he calmly ran the entire front of house operations single-handedly during a Friday dinner crowd 🤓🫡 👍 Just a small non-food feedback - seats and space between tables was a little squeezy
Nothing fantastic to shout about. Green chilli was nice but overall the chilli and dishes are a bit on the saltier side. Soup is oily. The drinks are all pretty meh.. strawberry matcha latte taste a bit weird like scented candle
The classical sup buntut [oxtail soup, $19.90] was well flavoured and very tender. The green sambal provided, paired well with the meat and small serving of belinjau crackers. Portion wise, the quantity of meat was adequate and loved the amount of savoury broth. I added a side of stir fry cabbage, $3.50, with oyster sauce, that was well executed. The cabbage stems remained fresh, slightly sweet and crunchy, which the oyster sauce and garlic complemented. Interestingly, they have a membership rewards system, with a free drink option from the first visit. Did not use yet, as there was the broth. The cafe is well designed and very comfortable in terms of temperature, lighting and overall decor.
A unique Indonesian restaurant in heartland Toa Payoh area. We ordered grilled chicken, fried chicken and beef Rendang sets. The foods are authentic and the portions are generous. The prices are on the high side but the quality of the foods are high too. The green chilli (cabe hijau) is the highlight of the meals.
