Visit date: 18 Jan 2026 Actual rating: 4.5 The bar for good pork chops has been raised a fair bit! Today's meal checked all the important boxes: ☆ Boned-in chops ☆ Tender meat ☆ Sauce not starchy ☆ Wallet friendly ($8) The salad was ordinary though: lettuce with brown dressing. Would have been better if they served coleslaw 🤔😆 Fries* were crinkled-cut kind; lightly salted. I understand this can be traded up for waffle fries with an extra dollar spend 👍 (*The alternative would be spaghetti.) Mashed potato was smooth; the brown sauce wasn't overpowering. All in, a satisfying meal that's light on sodium and underpinned by great pork chops 😋 #MHTamChiak spied a tomahawk pork steak on their menu (@$17; was told it's 450g), so will definitely be back to try this rarer cut 😉👌
This is not my first time here, but its my first review for this stall as the last time i came was quite some years ago. The fish is still as nice and the fried rice pretty good too. For $8, i think its fair value.
First time eating this stall, food was simply divine! After eating the pork chops with pasta and the chicken chop with pasta also (my fwen ordered) I feel like a new man.. I feel reborn and most important my love for western food has been revived like a phoenix...
Tonight I visited again n had their fish n chips. For $7.50 u get two fish filets fried to golden brown, crispy on the outside n so tender n juicy on the inside. Comes with fries (also done to perfection), mash potatoes n a simple side salad. The portion was generous n well worth the $7.50. These guys are really good. Super friendly too. Now this place in a coffee shop is real good value for money. And they serve really good food. I had the sirloin steak in medium n it was done to perfection. Tender, moist n tasty. Accompanied with mash, a simple side salad n waffle fries to die for, so crispy outside n soft inside. People were just buying the waffles fries to takeaway after dinner n it's a generous portion. For $12.90, it is way, way better than the $36.50 I paid for a striploin at a place which was deemed as one of the better haunts for coffee shop bistros. And the guys on duty there were super nice n friendly. Loved it!
Ok, I'm being a tad harsh here.. borderline 2⭐. Because 3⭐ means I might come back, but I probably won't for this. To be fair, it met all the basic expectations of a food court western food chicken chop for taste, standard sides of fries and salad (thousand island), priced at $8, it was just very average. But as I got through the chicken, I found it a tad dry, perhaps slightly overcooked, so it was quite tough/ chewy for some parts. And that's the main reason why it did not make a 3⭐ (which is a rating to remind myself that I'll consider returning to).
