Song Gye Ok Singapore (The Centrepoint) | Korean Grilled Chicken Specialty Restaurant

Had a wonderful dining experience at Song Gye OK Korean BBQ at Centrepoint. The quality of the meat was excellent—fresh, well-marinated, and grilled to perfection. The side dishes were generous and constantly replenished, adding great variety to the meal. There is also free flow of ginseng soup! What impressed me most was the attentive and friendly service. The staff were proactive in helping with the grilling and regularly checked in to ensure everything was satisfactory without being intrusive. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a pleasant atmosphere that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, the combination of quality food, good service, and a welcoming environment made this a very satisfying meal. I would definitely recommend Song Gye OK to anyone looking for authentic Korean BBQ in town and will be returning again.

Started off a little worried because the wait was quite long and it was getting close to closing time, but the experience really turned around in the best way possible. The Samgyetang was excellent, and the grill items were amazing too — especially the heart, thigh, and tender cuts. Everything was flavourful and worth the wait. Special thanks to Jamie for helping us with the grilling and making sure things moved faster for us. She was attentive, apologetic about the wait, and provided genuinely great service. The floor manager later took over as well (didn’t manage to get her name), and both ladies were fantastic. What I appreciated most was that despite it being near closing time, they still accommodated diners warmly instead of rushing customers out. The service and food completely changed the atmosphere of the night. Ended the week on a really good note.

Signature is their grilled chicken, ordered the set for 2 at $98. Chose their set without innards, bibim noodle and grilled rice ball. Chicken thigh, fillet, soft bone and vegetables are charcoal grilled by staff and served. Good service. The bibim noodle is indeed refreshing as commented by others because of the sour tinge, but somehow not to my liking. The rice ball is big and grilled at the sides with fish roe inside, this is fragrant. Even though quite plain but I enjoyed this! Not reservations allowed, walk in early because queue starts forming at 6.30pm.

Did not disappoint; lived up to online hype and expectations. Atmosphere is well curated, detailed attention given to the place, such as the tiles and wood. Feels transported back to Korea. Served by a non-korean staff (Jaz), while food were all prepared by Koreans. Jaz made me feel at home and helped with the grilling. Wonderful conversations, and yet she gave me space for my own meal at the same time. Collagen soup is so good, and had a second serving. The two sides were simple but outstanding. Grills were not overdone. Highly recommend.
