The place is beautiful! very cozy, cute, and welcoming. The service was incredibly friendly, and the food was exceptional. We loved the sharing-style menu. We ordered the ceviche, goat cheese balls, grilled octopus and for the main we had the seafood paella; everything was absolutely delicious. The drinks were also a lovely surprise. We’ll definitely be back.

The interior was stunning and the view from the restaurant was amazing. We were thoroughly impressed with the food especially the tuna ceviche and the lamb! The dessert was also really tasty and the cocktails were all perfect. All our servers throughout the evening were incredibly friendly and made the experience great! We have decided this is now our favourite Queenstown restaurant and will be returning when we come back.

Exceptional dining experience! SODA offers a fantastic atmosphere with incredible balcony views of the city and stunning windows overlooking Lake Wakatipu and the Southern Alps. I highly recommend ordering several small plates to share. We started with the Mozzarella salad, which was far from ordinary—the combination of caramelized cherry tomatoes, ancho romesco, woodfired capers, fennel, and infused olive oil was delicious, especially paired with marinated olives and a gin martini while overlooking the street. For my main, I had the daily fish special, which was snapper served with sofrito, confit potatoes, fennel salad, and salsa macha; it was perfectly cooked, expertly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch, and it is easy to see why they are included in the Michelin Guide. Be sure to book your reservation on their website in advance!

We had an incredible meal for our 22nd wedding anniversary celebration at Soda. The food was simply perfection, and the drinks were great too. We also have fabulous service. We enjoyed the experience so much that we returned for dinner the following night - it isn't often that we do that, especially when there are so many great places to eat in Queenstown. Soda was just that exceptional!

I LOVE SODA. One thing I think restaurants in Queenstown often struggle with is consistency. But after visiting SODA around a dozen times over the past year, I can honestly say they’ve nailed it. I’ve been there for date nights, girl dinners, events, and group bookings with visiting friends and family, and every single time, the food and service have been consistently excellent. Whether it’s a quiet Monday lunch or a busy Saturday night, they deliver. Our most recent visit was the best yet. And how do you improve on consistency at this level? You hire outstanding staff. Enter Pauline…an incredible French waitress who has everything you’d expect: attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate. But what really stood out was her warmth and genuine friendliness. So a big thank you to Pauline! you made a great night even better.
