Sanook Kitchen - Hillion Mall

It's kinda a quick and easy fix if you're craving Thai food but don't be expecting too much. The service and seating is fine. Price wise is also still quite fair and affordable. The food is kinda just average with most things on the more oily and saltier side (not the best choice if you're super health conscious). Green curry and stir fried veg is probably the safest options, as in they are more authentic and taste better. Still, I find that most of their dishes lack that dynamic and aromatic flair. Omelette was also not fried well, hence it lacks that crispy texture. Overall it's kinda ok, but certainly leaves quite a lot to be desired.

Went for dinner with my parents. Drinks and food were served within minutes. The food was great - delicious looking and tasting, great texture, good portions. We ordered two rice. The wait staff brought them and one additional plate. Her proactiveness surprised us.

I confess I do not have much experience with Thai food but only with Green Curry Chicken and Tom Yam Soup! 🤣 I took today to eat Sanook because everyone is so crowded in Hillion Mall! I have to say the food is not mind blowing. I order the deep fried fish, Kang Kong vegetable, fish cake, honey chicken, clear tom yam soup and boat beef noodles. The kang Kong is drenched in oil so don't find it healthy. The highlights was the honey chicken, fish cake and the beef noodles. The clear tom yuan is too spicy for my liking, maybe my tolerance is not good! 😄 Service staff is helpful and responsive! I don't think I will go back since there are better Thai food options and maybe less expensive.

I'm a vegetarian and usually is a challenge finding a good meal. If you are not a 100% staunch, that is need dedicated cooking utensils for your meal, it is still possible to find a good meal at some normal restaurants. Sanook is a typical Thai food family restaurant but they do have a few vegetarian friendly dishes. Though limited but the food is Still as good.
