my parents have been talking about 三人行 for the longest time and i finally understand the hype now HAHA. came here as a family of 7 on a monday evening and we got seated immediately without reservations which was honestly a pleasant surprise. the food here just feels really comforting and hearty, especially when shared with family and friends 🥹 the xlb was surprisingly comparable to din tai fung imo, super juicy and satisfying. my favourite dish was definitely the pumpkin butter prawn because every single prawn was drenched in the sauce and tasted sooo good 😭 the eggplant with pork floss was also dangerously addictive. some dishes were stronger than others though. the sauerkraut fish was more sour and salty than expected because we skipped the extra chilli, and the noodles were abit too mushy for my liking. but overall, most of the dishes were really enjoyable and felt quite unique compared to the usual chinese restaurants. would definitely come back again to try more dishes with my family and friends!
A decently good place for CNY meal and I love the Peng chai which comprises of all the goodies and cabbages. The steamed fish was fresh and the noodles soup was perfect. Hope to be back for more soon.
Food: As usual, meeting our expectation for good food. You won't go wrong with this place for food. Same standards as their Bugis branch. Service: Quite a busy outlet, hence service crews may have to divide their attentions across a few tables. Having said that, it is really acceptable standard. Atmosphere: Quite noisy from the chattering from a 90% occupied outlet. Which is also why many ppl go there for it's good food! Bonus: Must order their soup, the $36 one as shown in picture. Very nice and good enough portion for 5 ppl. Pardon the picture. We had most of the food already then I remember I need to take photos.
I think they've performed above expectation. The space is clean and service is swift and attentive. The food is also really good considering it is part of an old mall. Good for family celebrations.
