Rodd & Gunn, The Lodge Queenstown

This was by far our favorite dining experience in Queenstown. Matt was our server. So friendly and helpful. We loved our craft cocktails, the wine selection and the food. We had the market fish, duck breast, heirloom tomatoes and the steak tartare. It’s hard to pick one over the next. They were all so delicious. Great setting overlooking the lake too.

Great meal at The Lodge / Rod & Gunn. Oysters were huge and not good for me but the croquettes were brilliant and the parfait rosette was a favourite. Deconstructed fish n chip snack wasn’t a hit. As a big fan of venison and game meat, I had always wanted to try Wapiti (Elk) and it didn’t disappoint - perfectly cooked and the very light mushroom sauce matched it so well.

This was, by far, my favorite restaurant in Queenstown - and there is a lot of great food in QT! I loved everything about Rodd & Gunn - the ambiance is lovely, the food is outstanding, the service is great. It is small, so make a reservation - if you can get one!

They genuinely had the best food in all of Queenstown. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the wagyu tartare was amazing, and the kingfish, tortellini, and steak were all absolute perfection. The vibe is adorable with the wool on the chairs, giving the whole place such a cosy feel. I’ll definitely be back next time.

Prompt, efficient service and incredible cocktails. The tiger prawn risotto was full of flavour — the best prawns I’ve ever had. We were even called ahead of time and offered an indoor table. Great touch. We’ll be back!
