Picotin Brewhaus - Rochester

It’s a nice place to relax and unwind. Pretty chill out vibes. Food wise is decent. Ordered the pork ribs and rib-eye streak and pizza. Nothing to shout out but no complaints either. Steak was cooked medium rare the way I wanted it.

26/05/26 Unfortunately, the food here was very disappointing. The pork ribs were overcooked and excessively salty, while the sides were unappetizing and tasted like they had been left overnight. The ribeye was tough and rubbery, making it difficult to enjoy. Lastly, the service was slow. We had to wait about 15 minutes just to get the bill, even though the restaurant was only half full. Overall, it’s not worth the price, even with a promotion

If you are looking for a spot to kick off an early evening in the lush greenery of Rochester, this is a winner for the drinks alone—just maybe plan your dinner elsewhere. The Good: Come for the Brews The Witbier here is fantastic. Huge props to the brewmaster (9/10) who clearly knows their craft. They have a brilliant hourly pricing promo where beers go for $5 to $10, making it a "fab" and affordable way to start your night. The vibes and the beer quality are definitely worth the trip. The Bad: Stay Away from the Kitchen Unfortunately, the kitchen is where the experience falls flat (Chef: 3/10). The food is passable at best and misleading at worst: * The Calamari: These weren't actual squid rings but appeared to be breaded, "composed" fish rings. * The "Bashkir" Pizza: The toppings were incredibly miserly. It felt like the chef had a single piece of tandoori tikka and sliced it paper-thin over the pizza, like they were shaving expensive truffles rather than serving chicken. The Ugly: Service & "Compensation" To make matters worse, they tried to compensate for the lack of toppings by piling on chilli padi. It was scathingly hot—to the point of being painful. When we shared this with the staff, they took the half-eaten pizza back to "remove the chillies" (which is an odd fix) and then had the audacity to charge us for the water we needed to cool our burnt tongues. Verdict: Go for the beer—it’s definitely worth it. Just make sure you eat before or after your visit!

We ordered the Banker’s pizza, beer battered fish and chips, beef brisket and the crispy fried chicken which was a bit spicy but oh so addictive! The pizza base was the perfect softness and crunchy texture, the beer bartered fish and chips had the perfect ration of fish and batter! The beef brisket was nicely smoked and best eaten warm. The house poured beers were refreshing too! Maybe a weekend afternoon but it was a bit too quiet. Highly suggest to come check this place out!

Had such a lovely experience here 😊 The food was absolutely delicious, prepared with great flavor and attention to detail. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, which made the overall dining experience even more enjoyable. I especially loved their IPA and lager beer — definitely worth trying. The seafood chowder was rich and comforting, while the truffle fries were absolutely addictive. My friends enjoyed every bite as well. Overall, this is a highly recommended spot for anyone looking for good food, great drinks, and a pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely visit again!
