Dropped by Penang Culture at Compass One to try their brand new All-You-Can-Eat Buffet, and it’s an absolute steal for $31.90++ per adult! The variety is excellent. The sizzling claypot dishes are packed with wok hei and are incredibly comforting—perfect for a rainy day. You can also order unlimited rounds of Penang street food staples like char kway teow and satay. Everything came out piping hot. To top it off, there's a free-flow dessert bar featuring a chocolate fondue station and ice cream. Highly recommend bringing the family down for a satisfying feast.

A Wonderful dining experience at Penang Culture, thanks to Shirley! I had such a pleasant experience at Penang Culture (Compass One) today & I just had to share it. The food was delicious, authentic flavours, generous portions & served warm & fresh. But what truly made the visit memorable was the excellent service from Shirley. From the moment we arrived, Shirley greeted us with a genuine smile, made us feel welcomed & she is very patient. She checked in at the right moments, not too often, not too little & made sure everything was perfect for us. Her thoughtful gestures & warm attitude created such a comfortable dining atmosphere. It’s rare to meet someone who serves with both heart & professionalism. Shirley is a true asset to the restaurant & coz of her, we’ll definitely be coming back & recommending Penang Culture to family & friends. We were excited to visit Penang Culture (Compass One) for try the buffet my mother saw on social media. However, we left quite frustrated and severely disappointed with the service. We were told we could order individual portions, which made us think we could try a variety of dishes. There were only two of us, so we ordered about 10 items thinking portions would be manageable. When the food came, every “one portion” was a full-sized dish. At that point, it was already too late. We could barely finish the food and could not order anything else. Mind you they impose a penalty charge of $5 every 100g of food wastage. What confused me was, if you can already see what we ordered, why wouldn’t you step in to advise? A simple “these are full portions, you may want to order less first” would have solved everything. To make things more confusing, the portions were not even consistent with what was shown on the menu. For example, satay was listed as 6 sticks but we were served only 2. Chicken wings were listed as 3 pieces but we received 2. So what exactly is “one portion”? When we asked about it, the response we got was “then after this you can don’t order.” That did not make sense to me. I asked why they could not serve smaller portions instead, and was told that “some customers can finish all of this.” That felt dismissive and irrelevant. There was also no apology throughout. After that exchange, the staff avoided our table and did not clear it promptly. When we left, there was no acknowledgement at all. The issue is not the portion size. It is the lack of communication, inconsistency, and service. With better guidance, this would have been a completely different experience.

Value worth money. We get to taste the various Penang dishes and i got my favorite kueh pie tee, nasi lemak, Hokkien mee and assam laska. There are even free flow ice cream and fondue

First time here. We were very impressed with several items on the buffet menu. Very tempted to try everything but not successful because just too full to continue eating. Our top picks: - Chicken satay. - Penang fried Hokkien mee. - Claypot Dragon chives. - Oyster egg in Penang style. - Signature beef soup. - Signature treasures. - Fish fillet curry. - Bandung drink (sweet & nice). Seriously good value for money ala carte buffet. Friendly staff and fast service. We will definitely come here again 👍👍👍
