Nyonya Pok Pok Kay

With so few peranakan food places left in our city, I drop by to try this outlet . The few set menu offered was a good sampler of the dishes the stall was selling. I had the curry chicken set which came with two side dishes - hard boil chillie egg and mix veg chap chye , served with the blue rice. The portion was filling for one. The curry was lemak, rich in spice flavour. The chap chye had a good mix of vegetable. A point to note is that the dishes could be served hot so as to give that rich aroma kick, as much was spent in preparing each dish. Can look into providing a simple lemon grass soup or cold dried longan/pandan drink to make the set meals more attractive. Think customers would not mind paying a bit more for the extra perk if they enjoy the food.

Came from Very very far (North Area) to try this as i saw a video online(my frds said i abit siao :) ). Still within Sg thou as its just a 30mins drive. Food was indeed very good on this Wed afternoon. We loved it and curry chicken was tender n nice. Overall taste sedap man. Very good Peranakan food at Hawker prices. Such a good deal isnt it. My wife was hoping they have a branch near us and she will want to have tis weekly. Too quiet thou and this stall deserves better business.

We had the best food ever. It was so delicious. The guests at the party were raving about how the flavours were rich and authentic. The portions were generous and the preparation of the food was so appealing. They also delivered for a small fee and was punctual. All thanks to Sarah and her team for making it a success. Their speedy response and attention to our messages were truly appreciated. We will absolutely recommend our friends and will continue to order for our future events as well. God bless.

We ordered this for the first time for staff lunch at a colleague's recommendation and kept hearing compliments throughout lunch. The chicken were so well seasoned and juicy - my favourite part was that it was boneless, so it was really easy to eat during our meeting (I know, not a good habit, but that was what we did). I love that their bento boxes is such a complete meal - you get your carbs, proteins and fiber all in one - at such an affordable price too! Our compliments to the chef! The liaising was also a very smooth process - the contact person was approachable and the whole experience was very pleasant. Thank you for your hard work 😊

Alright, folks, Donkey and I decided to visit this hawker center for dinner, with our sights set on trying some yummy Pok Pok Kay. We noticed Nyonya Pok Pok Kay right away because of its unique blue pea rice. It's the only stall in this hawker center that serves it! After checking the Google reviews, we knew we had to give it a try! The Good: • The Blue Pea Rice: The server was incredibly friendly and helpful, confidently recommending her dish. And she was right! The blue pea rice had a unique, truly unique flavor compared to other stalls we've tried. Although both Donkey & I didn't particularly like the curry, the blue pea rice was undeniably flavorful. The Quirks: • The Curry: The curry had a thick, Nyonya style that was a bit too heavy on the coconut flavor, overpowering the curry taste. The mixed vegetables were good, but not the best we've ever had. The egg also wasn't very flavorful. • The Price: The set cost $8.50, which is a bit pricey for a hawker center. Donkey's Note: The curry was a little too heavy on the coconut flavor for my taste. My Note: I loved the blue pea rice! It was so unique.
