Had a wonderful dining experience here! The food was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. Every dish was fresh, flavourful, and thoughtfully prepared. The Japanese-inspired menu offers a great variety, from mains to desserts and drinks, making it a perfect spot for both casual meals and gatherings. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a nice balance between café vibes during the day and izakaya ambience in the evening. Service was friendly and attentive as well. Definitely a place I'll return to when I'm around Paya Lebar. Highly recommended!
⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5) Had a great catch up session with friends. We had not seen each other in almost 3 years, so I ended up being so engaged in the conversations that I barely took any food photos! What stood out: • Small and cozy izakaya with a welcoming atmosphere. • They also serve sashimi dons, and the portions were fresh and reasonably priced. • The chef was incredibly efficient. Food arrived surprisingly quickly despite our group size. • Special shoutout to the staff member with the full sleeve tattoos, who was exceptionally friendly and accommodating throughout the evening. • He kindly arranged a high table for our group of six, which made the gathering much more comfortable. The happy hour deals are definitely worth checking out and are a great reason to visit. My only minor feedback is that some of the fried dishes were a little salty for my personal taste. That said, it did not take away from an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. Overall, a lovely spot for drinks, good food, and catching up with friends. Would happily return.
I had a really pleasant experience at Nene Neko Japanese Store in PLQ. The shop has a nice, cozy vibe and is well-stocked with a variety of Japanese snacks, drinks, and unique items you don’t usually find elsewhere. What stood out to me was how neatly everything was arranged, making it easy to browse without feeling overwhelmed. The selection is quite interesting too — from classic favourites to more niche products. Staff were friendly and approachable, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, it’s a great spot to check out if you enjoy Japanese snacks or just want to explore something different. Will definitely come back again!
Found this place and decided to try it. Glad i did as food was pretty good + cold nice beer. Great experience and thanks to Dan & Team. Dan was nice to accede to some minor requests for my kids. Appreciate it Dan. Loved the wings n chicken thighs + shoutout for the chicken karaage. so nice n yummy. Very reasonable pricing as well. Had a great time and will be back the next time i want some beer + izakaya.
Very good spot for fam dine out and gatherings with friends. Big variety of izakaya fare, donburi and sushi on the menu. Nice to order slow and enjoy each dish with drink pairing.
