MG Western Pasta & Grill

My family and I loved them even before they shifted to clementi. We always buy their grilled fish with lemon butter sauce and green pasta (they didn't have it that day). Flavours are on point, fish is soft and the owners are very friendly!! Will always come back

I was hunting for some economical western food in my area but I couldn't think of any hawker or coffee shop that could do a decent fish and chips for below $10. Those in Clementi West were heavily coated and fried till hard, if there was one that was battered it was with too much flour. Then I saw a new listing on Google. MG. Now there is a Madly Good shop in the mall but this is a coffee shop stall. Decided to give it a try. Gave the lady taking orders in English that I did not want any sauce over my fish and chips as I saw a boy taking a plate with full-on cheese on top. So I waited and when I got it I was really happy that it was nice and not overcooked till it looked like a brown piece but still golden. The fries were also not salted (which I really appreciated) and the coleslaw was not thick and creamy but just right. I give this a hands-down best stall for Western! My son had the grilled fish with pesto pasta and it wasn't oily as well with the pesto taste coming nicely through and flavouring the pasta. The fish was also lightly flavoured. For their stall to have some French which meant "it's delicious" I would vouch for it! Before leaving I went to tell the lady that the dish was very good and she was surprised and thanked me for my feedback. Of course I had to get to the bottom of the MG name mystery, turns out they were Mary and Gao (the names of the couple manning the stall). I told her I thought it meant "magnificently good" ! I am aiming to try their other meats next to see if they are just as good. Will update again 🤠.

MG Western Pasta & Grill is situated inside Gourmet Street Coffee Shop.. As other reviewers have mentioned, this stall's chicken chop is indeed delicious. My friend also mentioned that other place's fish & chips only had one piece; while MG provided two pieces as shown in the last picture.. It's really value for money.. the best part is that you can make use of your CDC vouchers. This coffee shop is indeed a hidden gem in the heartland of Clementi.

Been a regular customer for years, since those days at West Coast. Even after moving to Clementi, i will still look for them. Service is excellent and boss is super friendly. And the western food is the best in Clementi, absolutely delicious. They also have a good variety of western food available. Will continue to support them!

Visited on a Sunday and had a really pleasant experience. We accidentally overpaid, and the store owner actually came back to find us and return the extra money, which I appreciated the most. It’s rare to see that kind of honesty these days. The chicken chop aglio olio was nice too — it tasted healthy and homely. The atmosphere was peaceful as there weren’t many people around at about 2pm, so it was a good time to dine
