Chanced upon this Fantastic family owned restaurant located in the heart of Sunset Way. Nicely situated at a corner. Has seats indoors and outdoors. Nicely ventilated. The portions are generous and deliciously made from scratch. Their pumpkin soup is very flavourful. Their butter walnut cake is not too oily. Their signature dish: oxtail stew. The meat was soft and melted in my mouth. Wasn't rubbery. Flavourful. Would recommend. Their hotplate dishes reminded me of the old school western meals we had. Steak, fresh prawns, german sausage... Baked potato with the spreads produced a great combination Their waiters are very friendly and attentive. Their boss Mr Jeremy Say was very approachable, not pushy and made good recommendations too. Special shout out to Ms Wong. Found out that she has been working with the company for more than 15years already. This store has been around since the 1980s, and (fairly recently) moved to this neighbourhood for the past 5yrs, hopefully for many more years!

Old school hainanese western. Have set lunches for weekdays as well which includes salad, soup, dessert. Taste pretty good. Ordered the chicken and lamb combo set and oxtail stew. The lamb is slightly tough but chicken is not bad. Oxtail stew is one of their signature and is pretty good. This is tender and sauce is good. Comes with veg and mash potato, both yummy. Seated outdoors but not hot. Better to make reservations especially if you want indoors. Set cost abt $26, oxtail stew as well. Set is quite worth but not considered cheap for hdb area. Reminds me of the ship at shaw.

Very cozy restaurant, straight from Pinterest sort of place. The food tastes just like how they look. Warm, nice portion and flavourful. Price for that much food was approx $35 (set having to add $5.80, which consisted of a bowl of salad, soup of the day, garlic bread, a drink and dessert of the day, if not the sirloin steak would be under $30), which was very worth it! 100% recommend to anyone looking for a place for family and friends meals

I love the food and service here. The waiter was so patient while we debated what to order. When the food arrived, they placed it on the table with care. We topped up set meal that includes salad, soup, drinks, and dessert. Food size was reasonable. There's beef noodle, looks yummy from menu and it's only offered during lunch. Going to jio (gather) colleagues for next makan place..

The food is good. The seafood chowder tasted like a mix of mushroom soup and clam chowder with some random ingredients. The oxtail was the best, but just a tad bit salty. Pros: the amount of soup was just nice. No spillage happened
