Learners' Lodge@Bishan

My journey with Mr Lee in the Learners lodge was a brief but wholesome one. After scoring c/d/e grades for almost all of the economic papers, I was dejected and lacked confidence in the subject. Furthermore, with less than 5 months left to A levels, I doubted whether I could make any improvements. Mr Lee, however, had more trust in his students than I have in myself; his professionalism and his unique kind of humour made daunting concepts easy to understand and lessons carefree. Furthermore, he goes out of his way to painstakingly mark student essays, a dedication that even school teachers don’t demonstrate at times, which helped me to realise my weakness in topics and brush up on them. With the help of Mr Lee, I approached my A levels with confidence and eventually achieved an A for economics, a grade that I didn't even dare to dream about. I don’t know how Mr Lee did it, but I am grateful for the trust he had in his students. While grades are a testament to a teacher’s teaching abilities, there is so much more that Kai Academy and Mr Lee himself have to offer. I was enlightened beyond academics, and I hope, as a prospective student, you can be too!

Thank you for your guidance in a completely new subject, Economics. Everyone, myself included, started off confused and uncertain of the expectations of this new subject. Although we were taking a foreign subject at H2, Mr Lee helped us to gain confidence with each lesson. The lessons comprised of relevant examples and clear concepts that were explicitly emphasised by Mr Lee. The structure was very beneficial for me and I have gained knowledge beyond the Economics syllabus under Mr Lee’s guidance.

I would like to thank Mr Au for teaching me Chem and helping me to understand everything better! Mr Au is a very dedicated teacher who would teach Chemistry in a way that is easy to understand and goes the extra mile to help me with any qns I have outside of tuition. After learning under Mr Au, my hopes for Chemistry sparked again and my grades soared tremendously after struggling in my first year learning H2 Chem. Thanks for helping me with all my doubts and learning Chemistry has never been so fun! Happy Teacher's Day Mr Au! Additionally, I would like to express my gratitude to the friendly centre managers for making my time in tuition very enjoyable. They would always send prompt reminders before each extra lesson to make sure that I don't miss out on any lessons. They always welcome me to tuition with a smile and remember my name too! I especially love the comfortable lounge which the centre manager introduced me to as it makes my time in tuition really enjoyable. I would give a 10/10 rating for the tuition overall!! :DD I'm really happy with my Chem grade. I would really like to thank Mr Au for saving my Chem grades and imparting life lessons to us. With Mr Au's guidance, I jumped from E in promos to A in the actual A levels! Mr Au would go thru the concepts with us and would clarify any doubts I have. He is always very willing to stay back to answer all my chem qns! I can't believe I had the potential to score A for Chem after suffering in my first year of learning Chem. Highly recommended :D

Hi Mr Low Kwee Peng! Thanks for being such a great teacher and injecting so much enthusiasm into you lessons! You’re always so patient in explaining to us the important concepts that we need to know and always ensure that we understand them to put us on the path to succeeding in our academic lives. A teacher is like a lighthouse guiding ships through dark times. You were the lighthouse for me guiding me through my storms for chemistry as under your guidance I really improved a lot. Thanks for being such a kind and warm teacher! Happy Teachers Day!
