We booked a room to host our relatives, and everything was prepared perfectly upon arrival, exactly as requested. The whole experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Cindy, our server, provided outstanding service—friendly, attentive, and always smiling. She went above and beyond to accommodate our group, which included both elderly and young children. She made sure we had everything we needed, paced the food thoughtfully so it wasn’t overwhelming, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. Her warm and professional attitude truly made a difference. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish was well-received, especially by the elders in our group who can be quite particular. You can tell the kitchen puts care into both the taste and quality of their cooking. Overall, the service and food exceeded our expectations. It was a memorable gathering, and we’re already planning to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-organized, family-friendly venue with great food and even better service.

Celebrated my mum’s birthday at Lao Beijing, a subsidiary of TungLok Group. The restaurant has a nice traditional Chinese ambience, decorated with red lanterns, and there were plenty of tables available when we visited, making it a comfortable place for family gatherings. We ordered quite a few of their recommended dishes: the signature Mermaid Fish, half a Peking duck (prepared two ways with salt and pepper for an additional $10), asparagus with XO sauce, mixed vegetables, 6 pieces of Xiao Long Bao, and stir-fried shredded pork with capsicum. Honestly, all the dishes tasted very good. The Mermaid Fish was thoughtfully deboned for us, which made it very convenient to eat. The collagen soup base was flavourful without being overly salty, and it came with tofu and vegetables. It’s quite a comforting dish and also child-friendly. However, the price is on the steep side at $98. We also ordered half a Peking duck, and the portion looked quite small. That said, the duck itself was very tasty — the skin had a nice balance of fat and oil, and the sauce paired well with it. In hindsight, we probably should have ordered the whole duck instead. The salt and pepper duck (second preparation) was fried very well, very crispy and delicious. Overall, we didn’t regret ordering most of the recommended dishes as everything tasted good. The only downside was that the portion sizes felt rather small for the price. In total, for 7 adults and 2 children, the bill came up to about $267

First time to this restaurant for a dinner... love the authentic ambient of traditional Chinese and also the service was good and attentive though the restaurant is busy. The food that we had was delicious and we'll definitely come back again. Signature popiah and spicy mala dumpling and stired fried french beans are yummy. The Peking duck is a quite a different taste from we had in another restaurant

This was my second visit to this valued restaurant, and I was pleased to learn from the staff that they are part of the Tung Lok Group. The menu has been updated and is much improved since my last visit. It would be great if they could add more dim sum options, such as egg tarts. Their signature popiah never fails and remains one of my favorites. It was also my girlfriend’s first time visiting, and the staff like Bells and Strawberry were very kind in introducing her to all their all-time favorite high tea items. Do note that the main hall can be quite noisy, but you have the option to sit behind the cashier area for a quieter experience. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Excellent service provided by our server, Strawbeny Lee. She was highly attentive to details and consistently proactive throughout the meal. Her joyous and positive disposition significantly elevated the overall dining experience, making it both pleasant and memorable. A commendable example of service excellence.
