Came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary over lunch for a family of 4 (2+2). The restaurant is very well designed. Comfortable sofa seats and tables were large so we never ran out of space despite the numerous number of dishes We had the 1 for 1 lunch set. The steak frites was well worth the additional charge. We had the octopus and potato salad for starters. Also ordered the onion soup and mushroom pasta. My kid said the mac'n cheese off the kid's menu was the best he's had (he's sort of a mac'n cheese connosior). Finished off with chocolate desserts. Serving sizes are generous, I skipped dinner. Service is excellent! Very good value and felt like every dish was prepared with love. Thank you Chef! We will definitely be back to taste the rest of the menu.
Came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and it wasn’t crowded on a Thursday night. We started with octopus - delish! Ordered the mushroom pizza, grilled iberico pork, waygu beef and duck leg for mains and all were great. We particularly like the grilled pork, very tender and juicy, spectacular! Desserts were also very good. Our server that night, KM, was very helpful, humourous and attentive, made the whole experience at the restaurant even better. Loved the casual atmosphere of the restaurant.
What a find! Sometimes Google ratings can be misleading, but this restaurant truly deserves its high ratings! It was a perfect dining experience - the staff was so friendly, and we loved every single dish that we ordered. The tarte flambé felt like a thin crust pizza, and the calamari one that we ordered were fantastic. The onion soup was a good balance of sweet and savoury, and reminded me of what I had in Paris. We ordered the lobster ravioli, and the meat was juicy and sweet. For dessert, we had the highly recommended Mille feuille, and it did not disappoint at all!
It’s was over my expectations. The restaurant has a nice ambience playing very soft music which is very soothing while waiting for my friend. The waiter came and offered water (thou he missed telling me that it’s chargeable at $2/pax) but service was very attentive and sufficient not overly invasive. Food was beyond expectations with great presentation and taste is excellent. I would say the escargots is delicious, garlicky and warm with the use of good olive oil. The rest of the dishes were also great. See the pictures and u’ll know they look and taste good :) We also had happy hour wine at $10 each until 7.30pm. So if u don’t drink, the cost will be significantly lower. I would say it’s value for money for French food. I’m Writing this while in Paris now!
Overall a great spot for a birthday dinner, with just one miss. The food was really excellent. The octopus was delicious, the beef stew was tender and full of flavour, and the pork was exceptionally good. I also loved the bone marrow and foie gras — both cooked perfectly. The hazelnut dessert dish was another highlight. The only disappointment was the codfish with mussels, which felt poorly done. The kaya dessert was alright. The staff handled an issue for us smoothly, and the atmosphere made it a nice place to celebrate.
