Food was okay overall. The noodles were described as having ginger, but I couldn’t really taste it. The pork char siu was flavorful, though a bit chewy for my preference. Service was fast and the food arrived quickly, which was great. They also have a designated space for luggage, so you don’t have to drag it to your table—very convenient if you’re traveling. One thing that dampened the experience slightly was the upselling. A server approached us to promote extra products and it felt a bit pushy. It would be nicer if the items were simply displayed for guests to browse rather than being actively pushed, as it made the interaction feel a little pressured.

I was pleasantly surprised to find Kam’s Roast at Jewel, Changi Airport! This legendary Hong Kong roast meat brand, around since 1942, really lives up to its reputation. The roast duck has perfectly crispy skin and juicy, flavorful meat, the honey-glazed char siu is lean yet tender with just the right amount of sweetness, and the roast pork has an amazing crunchy skin with a well-balanced fat-to-lean ratio. The Chinese sausage is subtly sweet and super satisfying. Prices are very reasonable for the quality—around SGD 20–30 per person—and the portions are generous. You can even take away their claypot rice, which comes in a small pot and feels surprisingly luxurious for airport food. Definitely a must-try if you’re passing through Changi!

This place is renowned for its roast meats. Their combination is a great deal, and you can buy different roasts together. The regular BBQ pork is delicious and less fatty, while the Toro BBQ pork is equally tasty but with more fat. The roast pork is also great for those who prefer a crunchier, fattier pork. However, they don’t offer the best part of the chicken for the combination, even though the chicken is tasty. The roast duck is good with crispy skin, one of the favorites. One of the besr side dish definitely need to try is the marinated black fungus with vinegar, refreshing for appetizer. They do have a nice chili to go along with it, but no other chili is served here. The service is choppy, with some good but most uncles not being very customer-oriented when answering customer request. They should be trained better to talk to customers, and if not, maybe other higher-ranking staff should handle customer interactions while others just serve. Despite this minor service flaw, they master the roast and serve very delicious roast meats. The rice and noodle set seems limited to certain hours, which is a shame because they offer better value. It’s a great place to enjoy roast dinner in Jewel. There’s definitely room for improvement in the customer service department.

The staff were unpleasant was my very first impression. They didn’t seem to want us there, were very abrupt in their way of speaking and the only smile I saw was when we paid and left. Apparently the shop has won 1 Michelin star for 11 years in a row. It’s unfortunate that the unpleasantness of the staff is the taste that lingers. We didn’t have the dish it’s famous for, we had pork char siu , rice and braised noodles. The pork was delicious, I’ll give them that, but the rice was only average and more expensive than surrounding restaurants. The braised ginger and scallion noodles were a much smaller serving than expected for the price and I wouldn’t say I tasted any ginger. Not an experience I would repeat or recommend.

BEST DUCK IN SINGAPORE!!! So good! We were moaning around every bite! When the duck sauce touched my lips, it was like I died and flew to Heaven. Upgrading to the Pipa Duck is so worth it! A must have when you are in Changi! Service was quick, friendly, and overall excellent!
