We were warmly welcomed by the team, especially Miss Nancy and Miss Tui, who kept checking in on us and ensuring that we enjoyed our meal. Their attentive service made us feel very well taken care of. The crab was fresh and delicious — we’ll definitely be back to try the chilli crab next time. The fish was also fresh and flavourful, and we especially loved the sauce. The asparagus with scallops was another standout dish. The pork ribs were tasty, though we felt they could be slightly less saucy. One small suggestion would be to make the seating arrangement a little more spacious by using smaller chairs, as the dining area felt somewhat tight. We also noticed that when another table ordered the whole chicken, the waitress performed a special chicken dance, which certainly added an interesting touch to the dining experience. 😬 Overall, we loved the experience. This has become our go-to restaurant for celebrations, and we always look forward to returning.

Visited with some relatives from out of town. Very warm welcome from the front of house manageress, who was friendly in getting us seated and taking our orders. We ate baby squid, steamed prawns, yam ring, mee goreng and one signature chilli crab. The baby squid was delicious although not all pieces were crispy, probably due to the marinade coating. The steamed prawns were generously topped with garlic and very fresh. There were quite large pieces of chicken in the yam ring, which was a plus. The outer layer was also nice and crispy. The mee goreng uses a slightly thicker noodles than what I am used to but it was fine because the overall dishwasher was very tasty. The chilli crab was mouthwateringly good, with plump meat and savoury gravy. The fried mantou we ordered were a little small so I would advise ordering more. This restaurant specialises in crab and they also sell some crab merch as well as have some accessories for your selfies and wefies.

Ordered fried noodles, egg with shrimp, cabbage, coffee pork, and crab with pepper sauce. The most memorable one was coffe pork which was my first time to have this flavor of pork ribs. It was a good combination that the sauce reduced the oily feeling of pork. Other dishes were okay, not especially amazed.

Food was decent overall, but quite expensive for what you get. The taste was okay — nothing particularly outstanding, just average considering the price point. One issue that really stood out was the inconsistency in the prawn paste chicken pricing. The $6.90 version on the lala menu came with 4 pieces, while the $18 version on the main menu only came with 6 pieces. That is a very unreasonable price gap for just 2 extra pieces. I tried to clarify this with the server, but they insisted that the portioning was correct. Only after I went to the counter to raise the concern did they offer to charge the $6.90 price for the 6-piece chicken. I appreciate the adjustment, but the whole situation felt unnecessary and confusing. Another frustrating point was the refill of the lala, which took about 30 minutes even though it was just raw lala taken from the fridge. The waiting time felt excessive and disrupted the dining experience. Overall, service recovery was acceptable, but the pricing structure and operational efficiency could definitely be improved. Food is decent, but not quite worth the price and hassle.

The lala hotpot here is super good! I really enjoyed not just the food, but also how affordable everything is. The ingredients are fresh and the soup is very flavourful. What impressed me the most was the service. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and very caring. I came with my two kids, and you know how kids can be—asking for this and that all the time 😅. The staff attended to our requests patiently. They respond almost immediately every single time, and they were never annoyed and always remained kind and helpful. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience. Will definitely come back again!
