This place took over La Ristrettos, which served very good coffee. Fortunately, their coffee is good too. You know it's gonna be decent when you see a Spirit coffee machine. Also ordered a few items for lunch with family. I exorcism enjoyed the braised beef pesto pasta. Pesto was nice coated, beef was very tender and flaky, with a smoky taste. The vongole was OK, but a tad peppery, so kids beware. Avocado was very fresh on the toast. Big breakfast was decent but easily found elsewhere. Matcha latte was sweetened. Total came up to almost $90. Service was a bit curt and inflexible though. I asked if I could change the vongole pasta from linguine to something else and the answer was a flat no even after I explained that my daughter had trouble eating linguine with her braces. No reason was given. It's just pasta, there is absolutely no valid reason why you can't swap it. It's also not a kid friendly place. No high chairs, no children's cutlery. There's self service water though.
Great masala chai (ordered twice - 2nd with ristretto and also good) Ragu pasta was decent but skippable Amusingly discriminatory strict enforcement of laptop usage during 12-2pm, despite lack of crowd at 12pm. I suppose you could work on tablet or phone, but not be using laptop for leisure while dining during this period. 60min dining duration that's also stated wasn't enforced though. Response when asked why policy is strict despite lack of crowd: "there's sticker on the table saying no laptop at 12, you read it and if you accept it then you continue" This is the probably the best measure set in place from their past experience - nothing wrong for their business, but rather aggressive tone enough to avoid in future even if not intending to work.
Hidden Sparrow Café truly lives up to its name — a tucked-away gem worth discovering! The ambience is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a quiet meal or catch-up with friends. Their pasta dishes are delicious and beautifully presented, and the coffee is simply top-notch — smooth, rich, and satisfying. The service is equally outstanding — friendly, attentive, and genuine, which makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this little haven for anyone who appreciates great food, great coffee, and great people! ❤️ A special mention to Steve, the talented Barista, who never fails to impress with his beautiful latte art and cheerful spirit — his coffee truly brightens the day! ☕✨
We had brunch at Hidden Sparrow last weekend, and it was such a pleasant experience. The place was full when we arrived, but the wait was only about 10 minutes before we got seated. As the name suggests, the café is quite hidden — but definitely a hidden gem! Even though the restaurant was packed, it wasn’t loud at all. The crowd was calm and mature, so I could finally enjoy a slow and quiet brunch without the usual noise. The drinks were decent, nothing particularly special, but the food was really impressive. It’s honestly the best brunch menu I’ve had in Singapore so far (though my experience is still limited since I recently moved here and have only tried a few places). Portions were generous, prices were very reasonable, and overall it was such a satisfying meal. I’d love to come back again in the future. Absolutely recommend!
Went for bfast and really love the environment, the atmosphere. They serve brunch foods, can DIY too, and nice drinks. My niece enjoyed the iced caramel chocolate, while I really enjoyed the bagels. Love it that they provide water too. Will be back for sure
