The wife and I had a short 8 day holiday in NZ recently from Australia that included 3 days in the beautiful Queenstown. We had been advised back home and seen on TV lifestyle programmes that any visitors to Queenstown should include a visit to Fergs to try their famous burgers and pies. When we arrived at Ferg's, there was a wait time of 45 mins if you wanted a burger however a staff-member outside the store told us if you paid a bit extra, you could enjoy a burger at Ferg's Bar which is next door. We took this advise and we went next door and ordered a premium Ferg burger and beef cheek croquettes which were simply delicious and full of flavour. All the hype around these Ferg burgers is well worth it as the establishment was full of international visitors and tourists including us 2 Australians. Highly recommended and a must try if you are ever in this area of NZ Looking forward to visiting Ferg's again when we are next in NZ.

We had the most awesome evening at Fergs Bar. Our daughter and her partner were over from Dubai and we took them to Fergs Bar our absolute favorite. Superb dining and worldclass service, in a comfortable rustic environment. The wine and beverage menu is extensive, wirh affordable pricing. Suitable for special and everyday occasions. Thanks to Rob and the team. You made us feel so special. This is our must go to place in QueenstownπŸ‘

Great drinks and friendly staff. It's a good place to chill, especially if you're waiting for a Fergburger next door πŸ˜‰. The food here is also not bad if you want to avoid other Ferg queues. Oysters were fresh, and the burger was pretty good (but I would've preferred it a bit more juicy). That said, I do prefer the other places for food.

As a senior representative of the Fraternal Alliance of Roll-Tasters (F.A.R.T.), I’ve completed three high-stakes deployments to Fergbar. Twice for a sunrise feed and once for a tactical beer while waiting for the Fergburger chaos next door to subside. SITREP: I’ve trialled the scrambled eggs with both the rosti and the fried potato. The rosti is a decent citizen, but the fried potato is the superior weaponβ€”order it and don't look back. When the staff mention condiments, you look them in the eye and request the chilli oil. It is the liquid gold that makes the Queenstown prices bearable. Yes, it’s a bit of a sting to the wallet, but the food is top-tier and the coffee is strong enough to jump-start a frozen Nissan X-Trail. Silent but savory, folks. Stay sharp.

The best meal we had during our Queenstown trip! Beautiful and fresh bluff oysters, yummy whitebaits and the cocktails are absolutely delicious!
