Mr Foo is perhaps the only teacher than can make economics interesting. Infused with real world examples and a good sense of humor, his lessons have the ability to capture the attention of students like no other. With his unending patience and relentless help, my Economics have greatly improved from an 'E' to an 'A'. For any student who want not to memorise economics but understand it, Econs Actually is most definitely the tuition to go for.

Was consistently failing my econs with S/U up till J2 MYE, and decided to seek for tuition in the final lap. Mr Foo was fun and made lessons engaging, teaching me writing styles that i didn't learn in school. He broke down essays with us, correct writing styles and marked all the last minute essays i sent to him really quick. I joined in August, a month before prelims - improving to an E for prelims and eventually an A for A levels. I could see a difference in writing style and how i managed to get the hang of many common question types by the time A levels came. Would recommend Mr Foo if you are consistently scoring 12/25 for essays or 8/30 for CSQs as that was me and i did not know what the problem was until i joined this tuition.

I started off Mr Foo's class in J2 with an E in H2 Econs and practically zero exam skills for the A Levels. His engaging and active classes allowed me to enjoy econs as something existing in our world more than just a subject. I managed to achieve a B with Mr Foo within a year and I could not thank him more.

I attended Mr Foo's lessons last year in preparation for A levels and greatly appreciate his efforts to cater to every student. He ensured that the content taught was in accordance with my school's syllabus and granted my request to include more essay practice, which I found the most helpful in improving my writing skills. He also offers to go through your schoolwork and correct your mistakes. Highly recommended for JC students who need guidance in Economics!

Mr Clive Foo is genuinely one of the most passionate tutors that I’ve ever had. I started H2 Economics with an E grade, lacking behind many of my schoolmates in Raffles. Yet after 1.5 years of his coaching, I ultimately obtained an A at my A-Levels. Mr Foo is extremely well-versed in the A-Level and IB curriculum, while simultaneously excellent at relating economic concepts to real-world problems. He provided very relevant current affairs which helped me to recall and find concepts interesting, and was also frighteningly accurate at spotting questions. For my A-Levels in 2024, he precisely spotted a commonly neglected topic which had not been tested for multiple years, and made sure to prepare me well for it. His immense supply of self-crafted model essays allowed me to practice essay formats and the important key terms required. Overall, I truly recommend Mr Clive Foo as an effective economics tutor.
