This is one of the few Chinese food places where I find the pricing very reasonable, plus they offer unlimited free-flow rice! For big eaters and rice lovers, this is definitely a spot worth trying. The restaurant recently took over a space at Sengkang Grand Mall a few months ago. The dishes are generally priced between $2–$6 depending on what you order. Vegetable dishes are usually cheaper, while meat dishes cost slightly more. I visited the place with my mom and here are some of the dishes we tried: Tao Kee with Mala Sauce – 4/5 The Tao Kee paired with the mala sauce had a strong and flavourful kick. A nice choice if you enjoy spicy dishes. Sliced Potato – 3/5 Stir-fried sliced potato with dried chilli. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of potatoes, so this dish was just average for me. Still, the seasoning was quite flavourful. Tomato with Egg – 4/5 One of my favourite dishes here. The tomato and egg combination was comforting and delicious. Highly recommended for egg lovers. Mayou Chicken – 4/5 The sesame aroma was very fragrant and the diced chicken was tender. The sauce mixed really well with the rice — definitely levelled up the meal. Spinach – 3.5/5 A good vegetable option to balance out the meal. Simple but decent. Salted Egg Chicken – 4.5/5 One of my favourite dishes from the visit. The salted egg sauce was rich and addictive, while the chicken remained soft and juicy. Perfect with rice and very appetising. Mala Cucumber Side Dish – 4/5 Another one of my favourite side dishes. Refreshing with a spicy mala kick. Overall, I would rate the food 4/5. The restaurant ambience was pleasant and comfortable as well. Great place to eat chap chye beng in aircon and having dishes served in tray and not messed all up on the rice. The rice is hot and nice actually which makes the food taste good also.
The food is affordable and tastes good! So many choices to choose from. Will definitely be back again.
