Second time dining here, and this visit was extra meaningful as I treated my teacher to a farewell lunch. The food was generally delicious and flavourful. However, the portion sizes felt a little small for the price point, and the rice was slightly mushy during this visit. Overall, it was still a pleasant dining experience and a place worth trying.
This place has a nice Japanese inspired interior complete with colorful Japanese style lanterns and banners that create a great atmosphere, although it can get a bit noisy at times. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating including a loft dining area that provides a more private dining experience. The staff were friendly and attentive especially the owner. The food was delicious and made with quality ingredients, though the prices are on the higher side. Overall, it's a great spot for those looking to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine in a cozy and stylish setting.
One of the best sashimi I have tasted in Singapore (if not the best)! Super fresh, thick and reasonably priced (think: Genki sushi prices so you might as well have it here!). I also had 2 of their hot mains - a spicy beef udon and their tonkatsu don. They tasted on par with what you can get elsewhere so good but not what I would come back for.
Came here for the first time with family for Mother’s Day. Got to say the food is really good and fresh for the price. Value for money. Suntory Kaoru ale was very refreshing. Good job to James.
I had an incredible experience at this izakaya! The atmosphere was warm, lively, and authentically Japanese, perfect for a relaxed night out. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor, from the perfectly grilled yakitori to the rich, comforting bowls of ramen. The sashimi was exceptionally fresh, and the small plates were ideal for sharing. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations without being pushy. Drinks were also a highlight, especially the selection of sake and Japanese highballs. Overall, this izakaya delivers an amazing blend of great food, inviting ambiance, and genuine hospitality. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience!
