We had an awesome and hearty dining experience today. Upon arrival, there was no one at the counter. We waited for someone to bring us in but the staff who brought us to the seat was in a hurry and went off to carry out his job. Other staff were also busy carrying out their work. It was not crowded. It was our 1st visit and we do not feel welcome at all. Fortinately, we approached a young server, Mr Coffee who answered our enquiries and assisted us with the order. He was very patient and very helpful to us. The portion is generous. We took a 1 for 1 ribeye and was worth paying. Only thing the herbal chicken soup is dilated and the staff should make effort to pay more attention to customers (instead of focusing too much on their own work). Despite these, we will still return.
First and last visit to this restaurant. The environment is nice and the restaurant looks modern, but the overall experience was average. The soup base tasted quite diluted and lacked flavour. The portion sizes of the dishes were quite small as well. The condiments station had limited options and was quite messy when we visited. There was also no staff attending the counter, so customers had to wait for someone to come over. For about $80+ for 2 pax, the value feels average. I would rather pay slightly more for a better hotpot experience elsewhere.
Enjoyed the hotpot here! • Soup Bases: We had the Tomato, Herbal Chicken, Chicken, and Tom Yum. The Tomato soup was definitely the best—thick and very flavorful. • The Meat: The Pork Collar was fresh and stayed tender. • The Highlights: You have to order the Wantons; the skin is really silky. Definitely end the meal with the fried manto ,. As reviewed on the IG: Yummymich
Wanglu Hot Pot (旺爐) at Sengkang Grand Mall serves quality individual hotpot with fresh ingredients and a solid range of soup bases—ideal for families who want everyone to have their own pot. We tried the herbal chicken, fish with milk, and tom yum soup bases, and all three were flavourful and well-prepared. The fish with milk was particularly comforting—rich and creamy with mushrooms and goji berries. The freshness of the ingredients stood out: the Australian beef came beautifully marbled and sliced to order, the prawns and clams were firm, and the vegetables crisp. It is not a buffet, but you can order sets or à la carte depending on appetite. The individual pot concept works well for families with different preferences—no fighting over soup bases or worrying about dietary restrictions. Our kids enjoyed having their own pots. Good value for quality received, and the free-flow dipping sauce bar and side dishes add to the experience. Ask about credit card 1-for-1 promotions when ordering—several banks currently participate. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Worth visiting if you are in the Sengkang area and want a satisfying, family-friendly hotpot meal without the chaos of a shared pot.
The spicy mala and chicken herbal soup are the nicest as compare to Korea kimchi, fish maw and other soup base. Cheap normal ingredient for the base. Not very nice and the variety of fruit is only watermelon and orange. Nothing special also think the price is reasonable.
